He was on injured/retired list for a long time. The Patriots have a definite need at OL, especially considering Marshal Newhouse is their swing tackle, and they let him go so he could sign somewhere else. I think everybody's a little more cautious than optimistic on this one because it doesn't quite add up. I feel like this one's gonna be a lot more Jeff Saturday than... IDK, Billy Turner. I'd give Light a chance against a defensive front that isn't so full of early first round nightmares (the 49ers), but yeah, they got Veldheer for a reason................... and if he is capable of playing at this time, he's in the mix.
