Guice, Penny, Chubb. All in the same mold as Dougie. But faster.

I think Guice is way more violent.

Doug wasn’t great at anything. No long speed. Lack of vision. Hands of stone. Wasn’t a goalie specialist. He had decent balance though and was meh at everything else.

His first season, he always managed to squeeze an extra yard or two out by fighting and falling forwards.

Apart from that there wasn’t a single thing that I thought he was particularly great at.

I just meant size wise and physically.

Koetter wants a RB he can run 20 times a game. Look at Dougie's 1,400 yard season. He had like 70% of our whole team's carries. I think that's what Koetter looks for in his RBs. That's why he wants guys who can pass block.

With guice the injuries added up.

Licht has installed a mentality to this football team. Get more physical.

Guice and Chubb I believe are going to be our targets in round 2.

Yeah, I was talking about Martin in my post. Just realised that wasn’t particularly clear!

Cadillac at Auburn was a physical runner who also ran hard in the pros.  With Guice, people will point to 16 season with his production.  For every Marshawn Lynch who came out  of Cal, there are many more Cadillac examples of physical runners who didnt play at a high level for very long in the pros.  That is my concern with Guice.  Certain RBs have this ability to be productive and not take so many direct shots.  Im a little leery of RBs with an injury history in college.   They only hit harder in the pros.  Not a disqualifier, just a concern.

But Cadillac's problem was Carolina blowing out his knees. And Gruden running him into the ground. He ended up as a great third down back though.

My point was he had an injury history in college which unfortunately translated to the pros.  Durability in a RB is always a concern, RBs who have been injured in college there has to be a concern of a higher rate of injury in the pros because guys are bigger, faster, stronger.  Not an absolute rule as I mentioned previously.  With Guice, if they miss out on Barkley, I m not in love with Guice as option 2.

Im really starting to appreciate Penny more.  I ve been on the Chubb bandwagon since Indy, but Penny s all around game is impressive.  He ran out of a pro set SDSU, he has really good hands.  If he was in a Power 5 conference he would  be getting as much attention as Guice and Michel.  I luv me some Barkley, but Penny in the 2nd round I can get behind.
