Pretty sure he said “PHD in ‘backyard’ football.” But Charles Davis comment made sense as a heard it, he talked about most of the QBs that use creative passing angles like Lamar are former baseball players that bring that skillset to football. Whereas Lamar doesn’t have that background. So Lamar “having a PHD” was just a reference to other cases such as when Jay Z says he has a “PHD in business” having come from the hood. Poor, hungry, and determined/driven. So it makes sense that he’s simply saying that Lamar worked hard to incorporate that into his passing game, not having been formally trained to throw the ball that way via another sport. But then he has another like 3 or 4 that have been straight up dropped by defenders. And this one doesn't stand. A weird season for INTs nonetheless.
