So, moral is....

No, he isn't a zombie and there isn't actually any evidence he's declining at all if you go by mechanics etc. It's just he's got less talent around him than previous years.

So wtf is wrong with everyone?

Inexperience, attrition, and lack of speed IMO.

How do you plan for life without Gronk? If there were other TEs like Gronk out there it would be no big deal. What TE is/was available for the Patriots that could replace him.

The lack of a run game goes a lot farther than no Gronk.  Sony Michel was taken out of the game the other night because of what he wasn't doing.

There are issues with this team some of it is lack of talent, some lack of experience, lack of continuity, and under preforming. None of those things point to zombie Brady.

oh yeah the AB stuff is an issue. You can't have a player that calls out the owner and makes a mockery of your team. The Patriots are not the only team that got rid of him and they aren't the only team not signing him. And from a football stand point there are a lot of teams that could use him.

The TE issue should have been addressed in the draft. It was a stacked TE draft.

I tell you what most of us, if not ALL of us, should have an egg on our face about

"not worried about the OL coz Scar", "Scar will work his magic".

We called the lack of talent and the losses on the OL, but even Scar hasn't been able to overcome the injury to Andrews, the lack of Wynn most of the season, the worrying sharp decline of Mason and Cannon. I don't blame him of course, that's a lot of chips down, but we were WRONG about that. The OL is getting better, but still doesn't do enough in the run game and they still get put on skates.

The bigger issue than not taking a tight end this year was only drafting 2 total since 2012, and none before the 6th round.

Curran says BB considers it THE most complex position to learn outside of QB. Therefore he doesn't trust rookies (unless theyre generational...) so always looks to veterans. He brought in some that didn't work. I'd have loved to somehow trade down for Hock earlier this year

Honestly, receiving tight ends in the mold of Kittle/Gates/Gronk are pretty rare. Unless we find a good one, I'd rather opt for solid blocking tight ends.

Gronk level sure but guys who can catch a few passes a game if targeted aren’t that rare
