pacman5252
There are many reasons we are better. Injury luck; We’ve been healthy this year. AR played with a broken leg from week 1 in 2018. This year Adams missed a few weeks. Only season ender was Taylor. The defense went from bad to middle of the pack; Our yards per play are actually worse this year (mostly due to game flow of being up and a more conservative bend philosophy), but our D is way better. We had multiple starters from last year who don’t have jobs now (safeties, Perry). The pressure numbers went from abysmal to good which directly translates to TOs. Offensively we are slightly better- no injuries, ground focus, still not turning it over. Still a 7-12ish O by most metrics. Not having a giant hole on the line helps this year as well. PPg wise we are a net 4 points better than we were last year (and it probably improves to 5ish... knock on wood). 4 points is actually a lot. If you follow lines that is going from below average to good. If you add 4 points to each game last year, we go from 6-9-1 to 10-6 (essentially a playoff team).
Mr Anonymous
Opposing defenses aren't calling out our plays before the snap and then laughing about it in their post game interviews. That can't hurt.
ThatJerkDave
Got rid of Trevor Davis and his losing ways.
PACKRULE
We have a HOF QB who has not made some mistakes he made last year. That has helped, if he played to what he is capable of this team is better and the point diff that AG mentioned is a non issue. I think that diff is in big part to poor QB play. If our QB gets the ball out on time and plays MLF's darned offence better we are likely sitting with 1 loss right now. Most of last year is on AR and Mac yes. With our improvements and better offensive play I believe our point differential would be much less an issue and show a 12 win team not a 9 win team. AG would this line up with your thoughts on our QB's play?

wgbeethree
The answer to the question is we are finishing games better this year. Off the top of my head I think we lost six games (and tied one) last year where we were tied or leading in the 4th quarter. This year we are 9-1 in that situation.
