Ty21
I’d imagine it should have some sort of tutorial for how to do this and that right? Also might be a decent idea to start a trial dynasty just to learn how this and that works and then do it from there to understand how the game works. It should be pretty easy to understand tho, although I don’t remember how 12 runs compared to 14 which I still play relatively often

It might take a while. I thought you could infuse me with a fast track type of insight.

Iirc for recruiting you add intriguing prospects to your board and then call them each week and spend however many points you want into the prospect to increase their interest in going to your school. It’s actually really fun. The final ncaa game, the one I have just has recruiting on like autopilot
MKnight82
So its hard for me to remember NCAA 12, but it looks like recruiting is the same as NCAA 14. I played that game an unbelievable amount of time, here are my recruiting tips: - Set up you recruiting board before the season begins. You want a full 35 players on your recruiting board at all times. This is because you'll get a slight bonus to those players each week just for having them on your board even if you don't have points in them. - In the Preseason you want to target athletic freaks. WRs and secondary players 6'5"+, lineman over 300 lbs, etc. These players are the freak athletes that you want to identify early. You also want to sort by the three main combine stats: 40 time, bench, and squat. 40 times are best for identifying WRs, CBs, Safeties, and RBs. Bench press is best for Olineman and DTs. Squat is best for TEs, OLB, and DEs. - You want to stay away from players that have the top schools from their state listed in their top 3 schools. Like if is a kid is Florida, and FSU is his #1 school, don't waste your time. Some great states to recruit are the ones that don't have dominant schools like New Jersey or Nevada. - Fully Scout everyone on your recruiting board. - Start the season. Week 2 things will change because you'll get your first feedback on what teams are recruiting what players. Go to the screen that shows the players top schools. If you're school lost more than 100 points that week on a recruit, remove that recruit from your board. - You'll likely have to trim your 35 player list all the way down to 8-10 players after that. - Then go to the full recruit screen. Go player by player and look for recruits who have less than 20% decided on what school to attend. Pull up these recruits and go to their favorite team screen. Most of them will show no change across the board for all schools. This means no cpu school is recruiting this player. Add all players like this to your board till you have 35 again. Start with the 5 stars then move down. Sometimes you'll come across 5 stars that aren't even being recruited and can steal them. - Scout everyone again. - Pick your top targets and put full points on them. Also you'll want to start offering scholarships to guys you think you can win (i generally wait a few weeks on this or you could end up wasting a lot of points). - Follow the same step for the next few weeks, dropping anyone you're losing over 100 points on then filling back up to 35 players. If you follow this method you'll get 20+ quality recruits every season. A few other notes: - Some positions are harder to recruit than others. TEs, FBs, and LBs are particularly hard to recruit. This is because there just aren't enough quality ones for them to go around. Settling for average to mediocre recruits at these positions isn't horrible because you have to fill them somehow, especially early on in a rebuild. - On the flipside, WRs, HBs, CBs, and Safeties are a dime a dozen. Be picky with these, only target top end athletes. - JUCOs can be great for filling needs. Most JUCOs you won't need to put 500 points in to win. 200 points a week on a JUCO should be enough. - JUCO (SO) are typically some of the best recruits in every class.

Dome
I'll work on getting the rosters up in a postable format this week. Just simming through a couple seasons earlier today, I think this should be a fun franchise to track here.

Most people just play 14 cause it was the last one. NCAA 06, 04, 05, 11, and 12 are my five favorites in order.

I really wish we could have gotten 15 with the playoffs. I don’t remember enough about 12 to have any advice.

I'm seeing listings no cheaper than $130 these days.
