RuskieTitan
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28261318/bengals-nfl-looking-patriots-taped-sideline Quote Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Monday that the NFL is investigating whether someone from the New England Patriots was videotaping the team's sideline during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. Taylor was asked by a reporter at his news conference Monday about the alleged activities by a Patriots employee and said, "I'm aware that there was an incident. "But I know the league is investigating it, so I've got no comment on it." Another source says it was potential misunderstanding: https://nesn.com/2019/12/bengals-head-coach-fielded-question-about-patriots-taping-cincinnati-sideline/ Quote A source tells NESN.com that the Patriots had a film crew on hand at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland this weekend to shoot a “Do Your Job” documentary on the scout in attendance. The Patriots had cleared it with the Browns PR department and were credentialed for the game but failed to inform the Bengals. The Patriots are cooperating with the NFL and have turned in all footage. The film crew was only shooting the scout in the press box for b-roll footage. The Bengals got nervous and turned it into the NFL. However, given that this is the same franchise that was sanctioned for improper video taping and had allegedly video tapped the Rams walkthrough prior to their Super Bowl matchup in an event called "Spygate", where upon Roger Goodell destroyed all the tapes that would prove the guilt or innocence of the Patriots franchise before hammering them with punishments, it is an interesting reoccurrence. Will the NFL discover the Patriots filmed more than they were permitted? What would the potential implication be if found guilty of illegal taping? And why on earth do they feel the need to perform this during the Bengals - Browns matchup, instead of one of their own games? Discuss. theJ
@SwoleXmad pick a different picture please, preferably one that doesn't violate the language rules on this site.
theJ
As for the thread at hand, i find it hard to believe the Pats would feel the need to cheat to beat the Bengals. Pick another game that's more meaningful, lol. Nothing to see here.
BayRaider
Very interesting. Wouldn’t it be crazy if Bellichick has just been spygateing for 19 years and is the best ever at just not getting caught? Could be a movie. Of course highly unlikely though. But ya never know. Vikings will take it. Vikings have never been screwed over by the Patriots so it'll look fair to the rest of the league.
BayRaider
You guys should wait for more instead of dismissing this so early. Using the documentary excuse among others is exactly how they did Spygate 1.0 and got clearance. Spygate was way worse than anyone ever imagined if you wanna read this whole article word for word. https://www.businessinsider.com/espn-report-patriots-spygate-scandal-2015-9 Edited December 9, 2019 by BayRaider
SalvadorsDeli
Pats should have to forefit their playoff spot to the Bengals. Only thing that's fair.
Soko
Tom Brady deserves a 4 game suspension for this.
TomRalph
The media sucks. The team have made these Do Your Job YouTube videos/shorts for loads of unheralded staff members, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that the team had a film crew with the Advance Scout team. Ridiculous.
berlin calling
may want to point at Bengals for initiating this. What did they "get nervous about" and why would they feel the need to inform the league. They are trying to accomplish the worst record in the NFL to draft their QBOTF and IF the Patriots did try to get intel on them it only helps their cause.
