7 Round ranking Mock draft

Recommended Posts

I did not include teams in this mock draft just ranking of players, did this list earlier in the summer and have been adding players to it since then.  Made some changes based on what happened in the last two weeks in college football.  So here is my 7 round mock draft potentially regardless of team selection, always have found it kind of silly to project what team gets what type of player when the order will completely change not to mention many of the prospects will rise and fall as the season goes on.  Also (*)  equals potential compensatory draft pick in the end of that round.  I know there are a lot of highly ranked QBs potentially but will see how they go as the season moves on, all are not worth a top 5 pick even though teams will pick the QB very just out of habit and there are tons to pick from.  Could argue Allen, Darnold, Jackson, Rosen, Mayfield and Rudolph are all potential 1st round talents arguably, but will see how the season plays out.  If your team needs a QB, this is the year because there could be a ton of quality options to pick from, yet only one or two will actually turn out to be successful most likely.  Could be similar to 2011 where 4 QBs were picked in the top 12 picks and 6 total out of 36 picks, yet only two are currently still successful out of that group.

This seems more like a top 100 (well, 32x7) that should go in the NFL Draft Forum to get better discussion.

I have a thread in that forum and it is posted there as well, just not the up to date list, it was the one from the summer.  Sure some "purists" might not like it but if I arbitrarily put teams in it in a made up draft order then it is fine?  Come on, it is all based on player rankings anyways, sure team needs are important but top tear players are top tear players.

That is 100% what this forum is for, because it doesn't just go 1-100 in the draft, there are team needs to take into account, so yeah, this doesn't go here.
