I think Prince is going to be a cap casualty. His play does not warrant 9 million and the Bears need to shift money around to guys like Jackson and on to the offense.

Tolliver is intriguing and did not look bad against the Cowboys, but I think the Bears need a legit young player who does not make a ton and that makes me think the 2nd round is in play. I also think a mid range veteran could be signed in case Tolliver or a later pick are not ready to start.

I think you can expect a 2nd round pick to start and provide long term upside.

OLB

Obviously Khalil Mack is here long term. There is no arguing that Floyd is over paid on the option and maybe they can get him cheaper on a long term deal, but I doubt he takes a lesser deal. Behind them the Bears have nothing and that needs to be addressed.

Because of the Mack contract the Bears cannot really afford to go big money and multi years across from Mack and that is why I see multiple picks being spend at OLB.

I could see Floyd's option pulled and a cheaper 1 year veteran signed and combined with a draft pick, but that would be pretty bold of Pace to bail on a 1st round pick like that.

I expect a long look in the 2nd round and for Floyd to play out the option and not be committed to long term.

There does not really appear to be a realistic chance for the Bears to bring back HHCD. He has been good and he would be nice to have, but they cannot afford to pay him.

They are going to pay Jackson, and while he is having a down year, it makes the most sense based on the long term cap to sign him this offseason.

I think the Bears should try and keep Bush and DHC, because otherwise they need to add a ton of guys to the position. I like Bush as a possible starter at SS competing against a veteran or a draft pick to play next to Jackson.
