PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury suffered in Monday's victory against the Giants, a source confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Coach Doug Pederson had called it a "significant" injury following's the team's 23-17 win.

With Arcega-Whiteside, Agholor and Desean Jackson all facing injuries, who will be Wentz's top WR target? Can Greg Ward fill those shoes or will Philly have to find someone off the streets to start for them?

eagles have three receivers on the practice squad they are expected to sign probably 2 to the roster for this week.

Going to be funny when they finally do and someone actually posts their combined NFL starts and Receptions as a Unit.

Fun times!🍺

You think he's gone next season? Didn't he sign a contract extension after 2017?

No, he'll be back one more season

Cut him this off-season: -$10.7M in cap
Cut him next off-season (June-1st exception): +$13M in cap

He'll be a lame duck next year, maybe getting a decent number of targets simply because how much help we need at WR, but then he's out ASAP. He's basically just going to be there out of contractual necessity.

Given the mechanism, while they keep saying it's not the Achilles....man, you have to worry it's the Achilles.  That's not a 2019-only killer, that's a 2020 killer.    Non-contact injury pushing off, that's either a midfoot sprain, or an Achilles.   Now, Achilles injuries aren't always complete tears - but the problem is that it's a chronic problem due to wear and tear that leads up to it.   Either way, it's not good at all.

Jeffery's 2020 salary is fully guaranteed, so he's not going anywhere, unless the Eagles desperately need  to create room and designate him as a Post-June 1 cut.   Either way, hopefully it's not a serious injury, but how they treat his roster spot will tell the tale - if this is a simple calf strain, they won't IR him.   If it's a serious mid-foot sprain, or an Achilles - he'll get the IR treatment, eventually.   No coming back in the playoffs with those.

I feel like people are going to forget how insanely good he can be, when healthy.

To be fair, it's been a while since he's been able to play dependably.   He's only had 1 full season since 2014 to last year, and he's missed 3 games once, then 4 and 6/7 the other times.   And now 2019.
