Duke brings in a monster class, but has no depth, and cant go past 5 1/2 to 6 guys ever. K brings in great recruits, but he either doesnt bring in enough, or he doesnt use them, and they transfer. Thats where I have to give Cal tons of credit. He gets his guys to stay, and when he wins championships or goes deep, its because he has that mix of freshmen and upperclassmen. 2018 Duke PG:Tre Jones SG:Alex O'Connell SF:RJ Barrett PF:Zion Williamson(6'6) PF:Cameron Reddish(6'7) PF:Javin DeLaurier(JR)13 min, 5 PPG, 4 RPG C:Marques Bolden(JR)hasnt played in 6 straight PF:Justin Robinson(JR)79 min in two years SG:Jordan Goldwire(SO)8 min game as fresh So that team has no height, and no depth. Going to be just like this years team and last years. Ceiling is Sweet Sixteen.

Need someone to stay more than one year. 2017-Alex O'Connell 2016-Jack White 2015-Luke Kennard/Antonio Vrankovic 2014-Grayson Allen This isn't the Duke of our childhood. We need more tall, awkward white guys to hate on!!

Watched him because Randolph was going to UA this year and he was their team's pg, and obviously really good at it.

Luke Kennard really crapped the bed by getting too damn good in his soph year. That took away two years of white boy, and we are completely tapped out of Plumlee brothers. Does Cherokee Parks have a son?

The younger Jones brother will play PG, and with his length, he will probably play SF, but will have the ball a lot.

Was hoping he would go to Kentucky or South Carolina. College kids won't be able to handle his athleticism, he'll get his no problem. If you're talking about the NBA then sure but he will have a big impact at the college level

I don't think hes a full time point in ideal situations but hes definitely not a big.

There are no low post guys. Zion is 6'6. Both Reddish and Barrett are basically guards. It will be a problem unless somehow Marques Bolden can finally live up to his billing as a top 20 recruit. PG:Jones G:Reddish G:Barrett PF:Williamson C:Bolden That would be an ideal starting 5. Still no depth outside of O'Connell coming off the bench at guard. I wouldn't say he's lost his luster, but he doesn't have a monopoly on the whole "look, you're only going to college for a semester because you have to, I get that, let our program be your stepping stone, etc." pitch. For a few years there was a big gap between Kentucky and everyone else when it came to recruiting, but that gap is gone now, and Duke has beaten Cal at his own game lately. This year was especially bad, since there is no doubt he wanted and expected Zion and R.J.
