aceinthehouse
I looked here: http://www.tankathon.com/nfl We actually can't pick lower than #9 overall. That's only because the #7 Jets (.473)& #8 Jaguars (.475) are 5-9 & currently have a weaker SOS than we do. But they both would have to lose out & Redskins (.493)win out for us the select #9 overall. All other 5-9 teams have a higher strength of schedule than Redskins Chargers(.504), Broncos (.527), Panthers (.545)& Falcons (.559). So even if all 4 lose out & we win out? It won't matter. If the Jets & Jaguars win 1 of the 2 games remaining, or the Skins lose 1 more? Redskins cannot pick lower than #7 overall. As Jets & jags would pick up their 6th win. Arizona is 4-9-1 If we lose 1 more game, or they win 1 more game? We can't pick worse than #6 overall. Here are your current top 4. 1 Cincinnati 1-13 .071 -- .565 2 NY Giants 3-11 .214 2.0 .473 3 Miami 3-11 .214 2.0 .493 4 Washington Lions are #5. At 3-10-1 All 4 of the top teams play each other next week. Giants @ Redskins & Bengals @ Dolphins. If the Redskins lose to the Giants & the Bengals win over Miami? The Redskins will be in play, for the #1 overall pick. 3-11 .214 2.0 .493 Edited December 28, 2019 by aceinthehouse

aceinthehouse
I wonder something? The Colts play the Saints tonight. We'll, the Dolphins played & beat the Colts this yr. If the Colts beat the Saints tonight, shouldn't that affect their SOS? Skins & Dolphins are currently tied with sos at .493 Wouldn't a Colts win, change the draft order with us #3 & Dolphins #4? Anybody know this stuff?

I'm awful at that kind of stuff so, I don't even try but I do believe you’re on to something there and if the Colts win tonight it helps us. Yes, if the Colts beat the Saints tonight, the Dolphins' SOS percentage marginally increases, and we should move back to #3. But the more likely scenario is that the Saints beat the Colts, which marginally decreases the Dolphins' SOS, and we are still at #4, but no longer tied in SOS.

Shockwave
Loser between us this week probably solidifies themselves the #2 pick. The winner could end up out of the top 5. That's how tight things are

HTTRDynasty
My nightmare scenario is we beat the Giants and Dallas beats the Eagles this week, which means Dallas would clinch the division and rest their players against us Week 17. I just don’t think we’re beating Eli.

But the 2nd worst scenario would be losing to the Giants and then beating the Cowboys week 17, which I could easily see happening if they rest their starters. I can already picture the back-slapping and celebrating from the players/coaches if that happens, smh.

aceinthehouse
This colts vs Saints game could be huge for us. It theoretically could bump us to #3 overall in the draft. So if we lose to Giants & Miami beats Cinci? Then no matter the outcome of the Dallas game, we would pick ahead of Miami. We just don't want to be tied with Miami with our SOS, as any tiebreaker gives them the head-to-head advantage. We should all be huge colts fans tonight. Unfortunately, it's @Saints & they rarely lose at home.

And the back-slapping and celebrating in the owners booth between Dan & Brice to bring the band back together for another year w/ Callahan as the HC too!
