66PinG
worth a draft pick to bring him to GB as Aaron's backup to learn for a year or two? Could MLF and the Pack be the correct home for him? could something like this mean a 3rd straight winning QB in GB? he seems to have all of the talent, is it possible MLF could extract this perciived talent in the future? asking because, well, just because I want to have the opinions of others. AlexGreen#20
When you get a chance to trade draft capital for the dude being badly outplayed by Ryan Tannehill, you pretty much have to, right?

vegas492
Is it worth it for a draft pick? God no. Is it worth it when he is a free agent? No. We really don't have the money to sign a veteran backup QB, even if it's 4-5M a year, that's too rich for my blood.
Malfatron
just when MLF thought he could escape.

Take Action Why would we give up a draft pick since he's a free agent? If you are talking about a comp pick we may have gotten I think that is false conjecture. I'd bring him in as a back up but the price would have to be less than Teddy Bridgewater got from NOLA. A lot less. He's an upgrade over Boyle, but not sure how many games he'd win us either if Rodgers went down.
{Family Ghost}
I'd like him as a backup, but I don't think he will ever be a real good starter in the league .. mediocre at best. I guess LaFleur would know best having worked with the guy. Mariota had a couple different nerve issues the year they worked together and never was very healthy. MacReady
Does he throw to open receivers?

I have to admit that I do wonder how this offense would work with a different trigger man at the helm. Most of the time this still looks like the McCarthy offense to me, and that probably because of 12. Year two could be much better, or it could be more of the same. Either way I think we will see improvement, but I would like to see Aaron break free from his comfort zone of the past decade.

Fl0nkerton
FR though I'd take mariota as a backup option, but there are like 10 teams that will pay him and Jameis more than they're worth.
Gopackgonerd
If he cost like 1 Milly a year, sure.
gopackgo247
ugh i wish he would be a perfect Packer. hes an A1 human being and a really nice guy. he was once a Heisman winner and #2 overall pick. i think if he comes cheap you take a flyer on him. give him a new location and culture and see what happens.
