Yeah, that's fair. Situations like that usually get ugly. Hopefully that's something we can avoid by putting a reasonable long term offer on the table and getting the contract finished before TC. Like I said earlier in this thread, we have plenty of cap. Money shouldn't be a big issue. We've let other legendary Bengals (Whitworth) walk before from the Bengals lowballing. I wouldn't mind giving Green what he wants. He seems like a reasonable dude that won't ask for the moon.

It would be "crappy" for CIN to use the f-tag on Green?  If CIN used the franchise tag on him, Green might pull a hammy running to sign the deal.
