This looks like a case of Elflein missing the snap count. Which is even more of a problem than him getting beat physically. It’s the 15th game, and if Elflein is still having communication issues? that doesn’t bode well for his future.

Yeah the elflein experiment definitely needs to declared over this off-season.... or next week even.

Unfortunately this coaching staff continues to stick with the guys they started the season with. It’s frustrating when there may be better options on the bench, never know if you don’t take a chance.

It’s not just this coaching staff. Teams league wife don’t shuffle their o-lines around if there isn’t an injury.

This thread is hilarious.

It's the zone blocking scheme that's the problem!? I mean duh! Why of course that's it.  Couldn't possibly be a talent issue and coaching not being able to come up with a competent game plan.

I swear some fans think that schematic design should be a super soldier serum.

Some people like to discuss other things beside our offensive line sucks we need to replace those guys. Taking a look at the scheme is fair because that has shaped the talent we've acquired.

Based on the poll it looks like most people would agree with you. Also play calling is a huge factor as we didn't call plays to shift or move the play away from the defenders that were causing us problems.

The drafting process for OL needs to change to a 'Zone Drafting' scheme; i.e. Ten Pick Rick needs to be helped on each selection by two draft experts; one on his left side and one to his right.  If he picks up a card with a mediocre/ bad choice, both experts need to take over, with one proceeding to the podium with their chosen pick while the other restrains The Piccumulator.

Reiff also looks like he's running a different play

This thread is ridiculous. New Orleans runs one of the most successful zone blocking schemes in the NFL, because they've stuck to it for so long and gotten the talent and personnel to run it. Gary Kubiak ran a similar scheme to what we installed this past offseason in Denver and they won a Super Bowl. He was even wildly successful with it in Houston despite having Matt Schaub as his QB.

Any scheme can work in the NFL when it is run well, just look at Zimmer's brand of Cover 3. We've invested heavily into it and it has taken the Vikings from having the worst scoring defense in the league in 2013 to being a Top 10 scoring defense every year under Zimmer, save for 2014, where the Vikings were 11th (21.4 ppg). We've had no continuity on offense since Pat Shurmur left and I think if we can keep both Stefanski and Kubiak this offseason, we will see massive returns on offense next year, specifically up front.
