That's 2015-2019. Might be only half of the decade, but he's made more of an impact on the league in just half of the decade than other linebackers had in the whole 10 years. I would choose Harbaugh over Caroll because he has a higher win percentage, more conference championship appearances, and didn't hand Belichick a Super Bowl win. You know that we live in an age where you can look things up... Harbaugh: 97 - 62 Caroll: 100 - 58 Carroll has made 2 NFCCGs, Harbaugh has made 2 AFCCGs. Both won a Super Bowl, but Carroll went to two.

Carroll has been to 2 NFC title games, but Harbaugh has been to 3 AFC title games. Harabaugh might have only made it to one Super Bowl so far (about to make that two), but Carroll has really only been to one of his because he blatantly forfeited the other game. He was Aaron Donald before Aaron Donald was a thing. He was easily the most dominant 3-tech at his peak and arguably the most dominant 3-tech of the last decade (not including Donald). He leads the NFL in DT sacks during that span. Yeah, that's because Atkins has had the most snaps from the 3-tech. You don't consider the number of attempts he's had from that alignment. He has had 75% of his snaps from the 3-tech. Calais Campbell has had just 55% of his snaps from the 3-technique in comparison and they both have just about the same amount of sacks in their first 9 seasons. Gerald McCoy has had 65% of his snaps from the 3-tech and has 15 more pass deflections than Geno Atkins. Obviously you can't compare Haloti Ngata to anybody who plays from teh 3-tech since he was mostly playing from the 1-tech. Baltimore really depended on him to close the middle of the field consistently when they made that Super Bowl run. You could compare him more to somebody like Linval Joseph, which Ngata actually had 8 more sacks in his first 9 seasons. Ngata's probably one of the best 1-tech tackles to play within the past two decades. Atkins is great too and probably more consistent, but Ngata had a greater impact from the interior than Atkins did from outside the guard. Half of Ngata's resume is at the tail end of the 2000's and therefore irrelevant to this discussion. And what is the bold based on, exactly?
