On to next year. Well on the Dolphins game winning drive the defense got no sacks and no incompletions on 3rd down and thus that was the game. As for those man free blitzes the Patriots like to use well I think opposing QB's are salivating at the opportunity to pick those apart b/c aside from Gilmour the secondary can be had and in the last game Gilmour was picked apart by Devante Parker. On paper the defense looks good in terms of PPG & YPG allowed but that's mostly due to the inferior competition they played when they were 9-0. Look what's happened when they saw better competition? If the defense was truly that elite they would've been able to hold a 24-20 lead late in the 4th at home against a lowly Miami team. The defense almost blew the Bills game the week before as well. If this was the 2000 Ravens defense then yes I would give this Patriots team a great chance to win the whole thing but this is not even close and our QB is playing not much better than that Ravens QB Trent Dilfer.
