Interesting article that says the Rhule deal is gonna hurt us in negotiations.  I see us as being the only gig left, and therefore giving us more leverage (this is also brought up in the article)

I think it depends.

I could definitely see a smart coaching wanting a similar deal at least in terms of length given Jimmy’s proclivity to fire people. I’d you’re betting your career on this job, they better pony up.

I like McDaniels, but the idea of brining your own personnel guy I’m not as keen on.

I get the “why”, but the Pats haven’t drafted well in a long time.

Obviously, we need to draft well for long term success, but we need to win NOW.

Out of all the HC’s left, that’s McDaniels to me. He gets in Bakers face day 1 and demands accountability. His X and O’s win right now.

Eh, I’d rather focus on sustained success than some short term push.

For all the talk about a “window” we haven’t even been to the playoffs in a decade and a half.

In the “crawl, walk, run” scenario we’re somewhere between crawl and walk.

This team isn’t ready to sprint yet, even if the fans are.

I do agree with this.

This. Winning is great, but never going anywhere big is miserable.
