Go Birds MC Quote Ertz Has 1 More Hurdle to Clear Before Playing Sunday As of Friday morning, Ertz had not yet been cleared for contact. "We're waiting on a few doctor results tomorrow," head coach Doug Pederson said. "If things go favorably, he'll play. If they don't, he won't." https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/sports/eagles/ertz-has-1-more-hurdle-to-clear-before-playing-sunday/2270022/ Quote Lane Johnson Injury Update "Lane is still working," Pederson said. "I'll tell you what. He's a tough guy. He really wants to play in this football game. We're going to find out more today and see where he's at at the end of the day before we put out a report. He's working to try to play in this football game." https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/sports/eagles/ertz-has-1-more-hurdle-to-clear-before-playing-sunday/2270022/

Or was that just a random report? Cause if you want to get all conspiracy theory about it, he was gonna get shut down during the week anyway because of the rib. So floating that out there maybe they try to screw with the Seahawks a little bit. he could have a bruised kidney too. But if it’s lacerated he’d be done going off everyone else who’s had it. It was reported by Rapsheet that he had a lacerated kidney. Doubt he plays this week since he hasn't been cleared for contact. If we can just figure it out this week, Ertz, Lane, and Desean all likely return next week.

Makes it a little more suspect then, he’s like the go to guy for teams to leak stuff. I agree though it’s not shaping up like he’ll play. Unless it truly was all smoke and mirrors. Jroc04
Yea, Lane ain’t playing. And really Ertz shouldn’t. I wouldn’t count on either.
EaglesFlySBChampsHigh
I really hope Ertz does even for a decoy. Maybe even give him a couple passes where he can run out of balance immediately. I'm more nervous about this game vs if we played the 9ers(maybe even next week). Russell is a thorn in our butts. We need as much firepower as possible imo
Danger
I'm not in a rush to rush players back from injury this week. If we make it past Seattle, then we can look at letting hurt guys play IMO.
AZ_Eaglesfan
Ertz has no chance of playing. Lane has a very, very small chance of playing. Both are unlikely. We are going into this game with the practice squad boys, lets see if we can make it out alive.
nlesthought
I wouldn't be surprised if we're going into next week with just the #PSquad
Jroc04
Ertz has a lacerated kidney. He takes a shot equal to the first and maybe it fully ruptures. Then you have one functioning kidney. Do you really want to risk it playing after that? Just let the guy sit and heal properly. Some things aren’t worth it. Besides, we’re gonna win with the PS boys. That’s are rallying point this year. That’s are rallying point this year. Even with a Cam Newton type Flap Jacket like he was wearing made of Kevlar during his broken ribs, he can't suite up this week if indeed there's a lacerated Kidney. His only real chance is a NFCCG/SB type run. This is where the Doctors have to tell the Player No. Regardless of his wishes even if he was willing to sign a waiver, you say No. You just add him to the other 10-11 Starters out and move on! Danger
Sanders will play. Lane Johnson and Ertz questionable. (I give them each less than 50% chance to play. Probably like 35% for Lane, 10% for Ertz)

Even if it's not a high ankle sprain, it's still going to effect his ability to cut and run a week after rolling it. Just have to hope Howard is a Full Healthy Go and Scott can have a Mostert type game vs Seattle!
Jroc04
Just a couple things: Kelce made all pro. 3rd time in his career. Which most likely means HoF. Alshon this year: 10 G 43 Rec 490 Yds 4 TD projected: 69 Rec 784 Yds 6.4 TDs Greg Ward this year: 6 G 28 Rec 254 Yds 1 TD projected: 75 Rec 677 Yds 2.6 TDs Alshon had a 58.9% catch percentage on his targets. Ward has a 70%. Young and hungry over fat and malcontent every time.

Has a very strong case, plus his speech made him more widely known, which should help get votes. Hardest thing will be the voters neglect of the oline.
