SkippyX
The Saints have 17.0 million 2020 in cap space to cover dead money for Brees and Teddy because their cap was so screwed up they had to mortgage the future. They had about 20 million in dead cap last season and both 2017 and 2018 were worse. In those 3 years they won a whole 2 playoff games (with 4 of the 5 games at home). They have done such an amazing job with their cap that they have 2 playoff wins in 6 years with a first ballot HoF QB. Here's an article from 2016 explaining just how ugly it was. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/new-orleans-saints-salary-cap-analysis-dead-money-contracts-drew-brees/zmgq1vwookqh1az189gd4pfag A Super Bowl team with a top 10 All-Time QB at age 31 went on to win 4 more playoff games in 10 years. The cap is probably the #1 reason why.

I guess so. This is the Ohio State Michael Bennett. Not the Texas A&M Michael Bennett.
