babyatemydingo Posted September 17, 2017 Share Posted September 17, 2017 RELAX y'all. Pumphrey was supposed to be the developmental replacement to Sproles. He isn't Sproles. He isn't the lead back, either ..... ever. If in the long term he proves he can do more then he'll get that opportunity. But, it looks to me and most of the rest of us that he isn't going to cut it ..... like most later picks. So what? The guy to keep a left out for is Phillip Lindsay in Colorado. He never drops a pass and handles himself between the tackles in college. He won't be an RB1 in the pros due to his size, however, he could fill the void a Sproles leaves if he can handle some pass protection. Yeah, that's a big "if," but just watch him play.
