A lot better than Sanu... 😑

He's an OK WR but even close to talented enough to be WR1.  Not enough WR threats so he was pretty garbage but, I think he'll be fine for us next year.  Edelman needs to remain uninjured or Harry or Meyers gotta step wayyy the **** up.

Eh.  We could've used Metcalf more.  Dude runs the most generic routes and just wins with pure athleticism so we don't need to have him doing any complex routes to have an impact.

Metcalf in the Gordon-role, yeah. A.J. Brown would’ve worked too for a physical WR. McLaurin in the third. I have hope for Harry, but he really looked the worst out of almost any WR drafted in the first few rounds. Aside from the guys who got hurt and Whiteside/Isabella.

Cannon is more likely to be cut than traded tbh.

You think? They’d save ~$4M with that move. Even if he’s not being viewed as a starting RT for either quality or availability reasons, can you bring in anyone meaningful with that $?

Seems like a backwards move for a team that isn’t set at tackle, with depth, or with the cap. Feel like that wouldn’t be a move unless the team has massive, unforeseen hopes for Cajuste.

Or they intend to sign Joe Thuney to be their tackle of the future and hope Andrews can come back while Froholdt competes with Karras for LG.

Also possible, but still opens up a hole at a spot on the line and creates a bunch of question marks.

How much does Karras expect from the open market after starting a full season with decent play? How does Froholdt look? Does Thuney’s play get sustained after moving, not only to tackle, but to the opposite side? How much does Thuney cost, especially if he plans on being a tackle? The highest paid guards are around $14M AAV and the highest paid tackles are around $16.5M AAV.

The compromise and value is the guard money for a tackle like Thuney who is a little unproven at a sustained level like you said. However, the potential is there. Thuney looked great right tackle against the Steelers in a pinch.

But why compromise on that $ when he can hit FA and be a top paid guard?

Kind of falls down to whether or not he’ll take a little less to stay here, like McCourty or Hightower. Hopefully happens, but doesn’t seem to be the case most of the time.

It's a compromise if he is playing tackle well and paid like a top guard.

The price tags are pretty similar. Going after a top, proven tackle is only marginally more.

Less risk to stick with Thuney, the guy who has been here and knows his teammates, especially if Scarnecchia retires. I'm not opposed to exploring Conklin though if he makes it to free agency...
