automatic super bowl

put a lot of work into that thought for Joe.  Definitely the missing link to our team, Superbowl guaranteed , though I had to ruin it by adding a few more details...  Not exactly sure what happened there, modified now

I did a wild one.

Starting Cap Space: 72.65

Restructure (savings via spotrac roster builder)
Brown + $13.62M
Hudson + $8.25M

Trade
Las Vegas Raiders trade Derek Carr to Tampa Bay for pick #45

Re-Sign - $120.86M
Karl Joseph 2y/ $13.5M ($7.25M)
Dion Jordan 1y/ $3.5M ($3.5)
Richie Incognito 2y/ $14.5M ($7M)
Denzelle Good 2y/ $7.5M ($3.5M)
Jalen Richard 3y/ $14M ($4M)
Benson Mayowa 2y/ $4.5M ($2M)

Sign - $93.31M
TOM BRADY 2Y/67M FULLY GUARANTEED
Littleton 5y/$73M ($14.5M)
Armstead 4y/ $75 ($18.25M)
Jones (CB) 3y/ $45M ($15M)

Draft - $10.56M
12. Henry Ruggs III - WR - Alabama (I love CeeDee and Shenault too but to me Ruggs is OBJ and Tyreek in one. Elite turning a 7 yard slant into a long TD while being a true vertical threat.)

Raiders trade 19 and 5th rounder to Detroit Lions for 35, 99 and 2021 1st.
Detroit has an out after 2020 Stafford. They didn't like a QB at 3 but liked one that fell to 19.

35. Solomon Kindley - OG - Georgia (we need immediate insurance and eventual replacements for incognito and possibly Jackson if he doesn't shape up)
45. A.J. Terrell - CB - Clemson (My #2 CB after Okudah, he stood out to me just as much last year watching Mullen cutups)

80. Jacob Phillips - LB - LSU (the more I watch him the more I like him best in the class)
81. Antoine Winefield Jr. - S - Minnesota (he might be gone here. His stock is all over right now. I see him coming in late second but right now I'll target him here)
89. Nick Coe - DE/DT - Auburn (I think if he can add 15 pounds he can play inside. He.would play a role similar to Dion Jordan as an inside out DE.)

99. Travis Etienne - RB - Clemson (BPA WR/RB)
111. Michael Pittman Jr.- WR - USC (BPA WR/RB)

(QB) Brady - Kizer - Peterman
(RB) Jacobs - Etienne - Richard
(FB) Ingold
(TE) Waller - Moreau - Carrier
(ZWR) Ruggs III - Jones
(XWR) Williams - Pittman Jr.
(SWR) Renfrow
(LT) Miller - Sharpe
(LG) Incognito - Kindley
(C) Hudson - James
(RG) Jackson - Good
(RT) Brown - Parker
25

(BDE) Ferrell - Jordan - Coe
(UT) Armstead - Hurst
(NT) Hankins - Hall
(RDE) Crosby - Key - Mauro
(WLB) Littleton
(MLB) Whitehead - Compton
(SLB) Phillips
(CB1) Jones - Terrell
(CB2) Mullen - Johnson
(S1) Abram - Harris
(S2) Joseph - Winefield Jr.
(NCB) Joyner - Nixon
24

(K) Carlson
(P) Cole
(LS) Seig
(KR/PR) Gafford
4

Ending Cap Space: $2.67M

The kicker to this all is in 2021 you trade with whoever has the #1 pick.
OAK trades 2 - 2021 1st round picks 2021 2nd round pick and 2022 2nd round pick and Select Trevor Lawerence

I would not be entirely opposed to this.  Hopefully one of those 2021 first round picks is at 32.  I would still hate Brady more than Carr 7 days a week.

Armstead played mostly DE for the 49ers, why would most want to get him to play DT?

He had few bad seasons then he has a good one on a stacked DL at DE and we wanna throw crazy money at him to play DT on a weaker line...sounds risky to me...

Give me Hargraves instead and rotate him with Mo...

Honestly, I like it. Especially getting Lawrence. A lot has to go right, but if not Detroit there could be another partner. We may have to give up more than 2 first and two seconds to move up for TL.

Might not want to pay Middleton that much, but I have come to accept that it will take that kind of contract.

I still takr Isaiah Simmons if he is at 12 and get a WR later.

I like it though

What's the low down on Higgins? Say Jeudy and Lamb are off the boars. Would you take Higgins over Ruggs? What if Ruggs is gone too, is he worthy of pick #12? I saw some vids and he looks big and good hands but in the National game he was a lot more quiet than I would have liked. The reverse was cool but he didn't necessarily get open often from the looks of it.

I'm not a fan of Higgins tbh.  He seems a lot like Tyrell, solid WR with a big radius and straight line speed.  High end #2 at best in the NFL.

He disappeared in both playoff games for "injuries" and really didn't do much when he was out there. Looking at highlights it's either a jump ball in the end zone or a fly route, not sure if he runs too many more routes than that. I'd also question his toughness and ability to fight off NFL defenders with how easy he had it.

I'd certainly take him on my team, but he's not what I'm looking for in a difference maker.

It is shocking to hear the comment that Tua or any QB isn't better than Carr. Carr is one of the worst starters in the league. You could literally put any backup in for Carr and you could make the argument that they can't be much worse. The team we fielded was pretty good. We didn't win 7 games because of Carr. We have a Defensive rookie of the year candidate and an Offensive rookie of the year candidate. We have an offensive line that is good. We have some really good players. We got hit with injuries and suspensions and bad refs or we would have at least won 8 games.

How many teams would sign Carr today at 25 million a year? Seriously, imagine he is a FA. Is any team signing him to a multiple year deal at 25 million? Nobody. Carr could get a job for sure. Probably as a starter somewhere, but not at 25 million. We are the fools holding that bag.

The previous mock trading up for Tua is a good mock. I don't like Robby Anderson in FA and I don't think Aiyuk will be there in the 3rd, but who knows. Also, I doubt we could get a 3rd and a 4th for Carr given his performance and salary.

It's the ******* MOCK OFFSEASON thread. Talk about Carr somewhere else. Like the thread we have for it...

Ruggs has huge potential if you get him the ball, but he's definitely not a traditional 1. That being said, if Gruden has a plan for him, I'm all for him at 12 if he feels he'll be TRANSFORMATIVE.

I would take Ruggs, Lamb, or Jeudy at 12. If we don't get one I'll be disappointed. If we don't get one at 12, Shenault might be the only one I'd want at 19, but I think I'd rather just trade back for more picks.

Unless we are able to sign AJ Green, I don't think we will, I fully expect us to draft two WRs.

I'm 100% down to spend a 3rd as well on a WR. Take advantage of the stacked class.
