I feel you but 3-13 isn't fun either. To have a good team you have to have a good mix of vets with some young guys who develop and step up. Currently, I think anyone would look at our roster and say we don’t need a compete overhaul of our roster but we do need to spend some in free agency if we don't want a repeat of last year - and I don't think Rivera will settle for what the rosters Allen did - and if we want to have a competitive team. I think our offseasons under Rivera will compare more to when Gibbs was here and when Norv/Casserly were here in the 90s. It’s all about who you sign and that you don’t overpay in free agency, not that you don’t participate in it. Bruce not paying guys and not wanting to pay for a competitive roster - leaving tens of millions in unspent cap space every year - wasn’t working either. There has to be a medium like I said. We had that for the most part when Gibbs was here and with the team that Casserly built in 99 which should have stayed together past 2000 until like 2003 or 2004.
