Rather use that money elsewhere.
acowboys62
I feel like we are getting older, obviously a lot of FA left and the draft but this seems like a pretty meh off season so far for a team with a new staff in place. Maybe I am just bitter of losing our CB.
Matts4313
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/available/ Still some guys available. But I wonder if we will wait until June 1st to protect the comp picks
DaBoys
I think it's absolutely clear that the Patriots are stockpiling picks, tanking 2020, and controlling the Trevor Lawrence draft.

I seen they’re in line for a $100m+ in cap space too.

I always hear people say “you’re trying to play madden” as an insult to an unrealistic trade or free agent idea, but Belichick is literally handling this like I would play franchise mode in Madden

That’s how they have been consistent winners. Willing to let valuable players go for either traded picks or comp picks. It’s their proven working model and it works

But sometimes the best way to improve is to change. Well as of right now we still don't have anything that could be considered a great pass rush so we still that to contend with. DL overall has improved. Maybe having a stronger middle of the line will help the outsides. It for sure should help the LBs.

Dude got consistent pressure and he has identical sack numbers compared to McCoy. Not to mention th Raiders signed Collins to a similar cap hit contract. D82
I'd really consider signing Jason Verrett. Dude's a good corner when healthy. Wouldn't bet on him, but he'd at least be a solid contributor.
Calvert28
Got into a discussion with someone in the Draft area that they wanted to move up in the draft and wanted our 17th pick and the deal included Chris Jones. Keep in mind Jones is gonna hit the 100M mark here soon. So what would you give up for a all-pro caliber DT that is only 25?

That means 1st, 2nd, and a future future 3rd comp. I am down.
