ACO
This was needed badly. They were horrible. Everyone needs a fresh start and that offense needs someone who can help Wentz and those WRs grow.
Matts4313
Eagles fans will rejoice. They did not like their OC/DC this year.

EaglesPeteC
Didn't they say just yesterday that both of them were staying? Lol Either way it is fine. Doug is really the guy that stirs the offense, but getting a different mind in there to help bring it back closer to the 2017 couldn't hurt

Pretty sure Groh was the guy behind the scripting opening 15 plays etc. And if you look at Carson's performance in those opening 15 plays vs after it. Over the last two years since Groh took over. It was damning.

Lurie must have put his hammer on the table. Reported Lurie was done with Groh in December. Lurie with the aggressiveness, woa.

eagles18
Too bad Groh couldn't stay as a WR coach.. but that would be unnecessary drama
EaglesPeteC
Doug just released a statement back tracking that whole thing....Yeesh. It’s not a huge deal but a bad look for sure. Maybe next time have the meeting before the press conference
ReadyToThump
Hopefully hes able to find a new home to Groh in.

Pederson and Howie are great at their jobs, but they need to get these assistant positions sorted out and they need to get on the same page about it. That seems awfully.... meddlesome.

Its hard to do with a owner so blatantly undermining his coaches and front office.

Yeah, but in this case he did it for the greater good. Doug was being overly loyal and Jeffery Lurie wasn't having the sentimentality get in the way of doing what is objectively right.
