June Jones has to be working his way into the NFL right? Minus the mishap by PJ Walker he's been coaching great

He had his shot with Atlanta in the 90s, doubt he gets another shot.

XFL could potentially die due to coronavirus.

the league wont die from this. They are supposed to be fully funded already for 2 years. I believe vince owns all of the teams and could sell 1-2 teams to fund whatever he needs to down the road.

The summer months should be better for this virus, so even if they suspend things for a few months, they should be able to have games in June I would imagine

This hurts momentum, though. You're right on the funding, Vince has another year in his pocket - but he's going to have to figure out a way to jump start the league after we get to the other side of this.

The momentum will be the fact football is on TV. Maybe they could do a Thursday/Friday/Monday schedule or something. weekends during the summer will have less eyeballs on the tv anyways

Did the AFL last longer?

This isn't a death knell where the league isn't making payroll, like the AAF. This is a response to a pandemic - not suspending operations would be the more controversial move. Every other major league has closed down, trying to play games in this climate gets you ostracized.

We might hate it as fans, but it's the right move.
