RamRod
Hopefully this will help take some work off McVay’s plate
Dr LBC
If nothing else, O'Connell is another former QB - forever of that backup-that-was-never-good-enough-to-start-but-knows-his-fundamentals mold - that can help further Goff's development. jrry32
I like it. It's a good idea to have another former play-caller in the room. And he should help with Goff's development. He's like another Greg Olson. Edited January 12, 2020 by jrry32
naptownskinsfan
I like it for you guys. In 2018, he made Josh Johnson look somewhat serviceable despite all of the time he was out of the league. Once Gruden was fired, O'Connell was eventually given more control of the offense, and we saw improvement from Haskins and the offense as a whole the further we got into the season. Many Redskins fans wanted Rivera to keep him and it was a divisive conversation in our forums and across other Redskins channels, especially since he brought in Norval's son instead.
