The owners could make more money by keeping the schedule at 16 regular season games, and adding a bye week. Reduce the preseason to 3 games. We still watch football when our favorite team is not playing, so increased revenue. Also, expand rosters and allow everyone to suit up on game day. They have 32 teams in 8 divisions, playing 16 games in such a way each team plays each other team at least once every 4 years. If they spoil that I might actually cry.
