Which group of players are the Democrats and which are the Republicans? The havenots far out numbers the haves in the NFL. swede700
Quote The NFL and the Players Association project a salary cap of roughly $200 million per team in 2020, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media. MikeT14
Ultimately my goals are to walk away with a tackle and a CB that can play immediately and fill the rest of my picks with depth. I have my first, 2nd, 3rd, two 4ths, a 6th, and 3 7ths.
swede700
I see the sneaky play on obtaining the son of former Viking Todd Kalis. Not a huge fan of bringing back Siemian or Andre Smith, but I do like some of the defensive moves, especially bringing in Maliek Collins...but, I'm not sure if Jenkins would fit in Zimmer's locker-room...maybe he's grown up a bit, but I'm sure the Vikings' brass would be very skeptical based on his history. Nice job overall on re-tooling the defense, I'm not sure I could have done better.

Siemien and Smith are on cheap 1 year deals, so I could cut either loose, and it wouldn't hurt. I just needed someone else besides Browning. I have about $4 million in cap not including what I need to hold for draft picks.
vikingsrule
Don’t think that Smith has the feet or movement skills to play in a Shanahan/Kubiak ZBS.

I do worry about that. I didn't sign him to start, more to be a backup if needed. We'll see how the draft goes and go from there.

Let me look into Hill. I was told by another Viking fan (outside of this) that Hill isn't worth it if he's too expensive.

He'd be better than Andre Smith, and honestly Oli Udoh would be a better starter than Andre Smith right now. With the current roster, the best OL is probably Reiff, Kline, Bradbury, Samia, and O'Neil (or O'Neil at LT and Udoh at RT if Reiff were cut or traded). Defensively, I think Armon Watts should be in the rotation at DT. As a late round rookie, he was looking good toward the end of the season with some potential as a future starter. Overall, it looks like a roster that should be competing for a playoff spot. All the weapons are back with a good group of skilled players on offense. The defense looks like it shouldn't lose too much despite the inevitable loses. I would say priorities still remain the same OL (starting G or OT), CB (potential starter), pass rusher. It is something to consider but if my starting tackles were Reiff and O'Neill I would rather leave them both in their current positions. O'Neill has looked very nice at RT. Messing with that is playing with fire. O'Neill is the only sure thing to be better than average on the line. Once you move him the team has no sure above average things.
