aceinthehouse
I know many believe this scenario won't happen, but I never count my chickens till they hatch. Maybe they like a QB in the later rounds & want to keep Dalton? Maybe nobody can pass on Chase Young including the Bengals @#1? Maybe some team offers them a trade they can't refuse & that team drafts Young? Point is....I hope there will be a plan B, in case the draft doesn't go as planned. 1) Do we draft Burrow or Tua? 2)Do we look to trade down with teams like Miami, Las Vegas 🤔, Jacksonville or someone else? 3)And if we stay @#2, who is worth the #2 overall pick that isn't a QB? Basically, if you can't have Chase Young, who would you want in this draft?
Thaiphoon
You trade down and pick up a boatload of picks from a QB-hungry team

Nobody, with the exception of maybe Okudah, would be worth taking at two at the point to me.
turtle28
Haven’t we done this thread 10 times? Anyways, trade down, but not pat 5 IMO bc I still want the chance at Okudah, Jeudy or Thomas w/in the top 5. I also think we could do it, by trading a player or players since it's only 1 spot. Whomever that player is, providing they're not part of our young franchise model like Haskins, Terry, Sweat, etc. I think you have to consider it. And not trading draft picks, since we need them. I actually believe, Rivera & JDR will consider this scenario very strongly. From what I've read from those 2 coaches? They like Haskins, they LOVE Chase Young. So do you risk losing a player you love, getting snatched ahead of your pick? No, you do not! If you are to make the move to #1…? Do you do it before, or after the NFL Combine? Exactly, I predict the Redskins will trade up to #1 gentleman. Because it's what I would do, for a can't miss prospect.

And that leaves us guaranteed to get one of these three guys if we drop down to 5. In truth, I think we could probably afford to move down to 6 with the Chargers, because I suspect the Dolphins would then take Tua at 5, leaving one of those guys to drop to 6. So if the Dolphins don’t want to play ball, we still have that option. But yes, the safe option is the one @turtle28 lays out.

Slateman
Trade for the Dolphins first rounders and either a third rounder in this draft or a second rounder next year. Number 5: Jeudy (if hes there) or Thomas Number 18 (if Jeudy taken at number 5): Mekhi Becton, AJ Epenesa, Kenneth Murray Number 18 (of Thomas taken at number 5): Henry Ruggs, AJ Epenesa, or Kenneth Murray

The answer hasn't changed no matter how many times you're gonna ask. I'll leave this up another day and then merge it into the other thread.

No way the Dolphins trade 3 first round picks in this draft to move up 3 spots.

Most I could see is the following (assuming it's a Miami trade). 5, 26, swap 3rd rounders Or 5, their 2nd rounder, and a 2021 1st No way they trade 3 x 2020 1st rounders to move up to 2
