This video gives some good examples of said issues

The points in this video are valid, but if the niners exposed our D so much why have things been noticeably better since? Every example in the video is from the niners game or before.

Didn't watch, is that true? Lol he just posted this and added nothing post SF? What a joke

He found a site that has stats on the type of coverages used vs. offensive personnel. He noticed that SF abused a couple of these coverages. Boom 19 minute video.

Welcome to YouTube in 2020. Information you could have read in 60 seconds, now in 20 minute video format.

I agree. Pettine did a good job of varying his scheme in the Seattle game. There were plays when it was man coverage outside the hashes & zone in middle. Several plays when we're playing cover-2 on one side & cover-4 on the other. Pretty confusing on a QB. That & stopping the run was probably why Seattle only had 3 points at halftime. Mostly zone in the 2nd half because of game flow & to have eyes on Wilson if he escaped the pocket.

Some of those “examples” were also excellent pitches/catches. Sometimes the other team just makes plays. (I still have a terrible feeling about this game, but nothing to do with that video).

You think we are going to be winning by so much that the game will be boring? Me too.

SF averaged 29.9pts per game (2nd in the league). They're gonna get their points. GB averaged 23.5 (15th).
Our defense needs to win the turnover battle. Our LBs/DBs get their hands on an INT or fumbled ball - they need to snag it and give the offense another series.

Our OL needs to bring its A game - leaving whatever that was in Week 12 to the lowlight reel (or in the trash).
AR cant be bobbing, weaving, ducking and jiving behind the LOS - while not seeing the pass patterns and probably taking a sack, loss or less than positive play. AR needs to be kept clean *and* get rid of the ball on time for vertical patterns. We cant win throwing WR screens. Our RBs need to attack staight ahead and between the tackles - making 4yds per carry at least. The SF outside speed rushers will cut / chase down the slower developing pitches and off tackle stuff.

We need to play smart but mean.
