It’s weird. But from what I’ve seen of Joe’s personality he answers questions pretty direct. It doesn’t surprise me he’s not diving head first into Cincinnati. He hasn’t met with any coaches or anything. He has no idea what to expect from them, so why commit and push all your eggs in that basket prematurely? I expect him to change his tune after he meets Zac Taylor. He’s definitely a players coach who can sell his vision.

BowlesDawgDX
The biggest surprise to me is Queen being over some of the others. Seems low for the other pass rushers as well

EL Guapo
I think a lot comes down to whether Tepper wants Tua, he can be a big wildcard in the draft

A new franchise QB doesn't need to be there for the long haul, in fact usually better for those guys to come in when things have been stabilised and they aren't traumatised playing on a bad team. I think the Chargers will be the team to trade up for Tua because they’re the most desperate team. Their ownership is cheap, and despite the fact that Telesco is a good GM he’ll be out of a job if he can’t find Rivers’ replacement. They face an uphill battle still short upwards of $250 million in PSL sales, and there’s only 3 players the Chargers can add who can potentially help get those sold: Brady, Burrow, or Tua. Trading up for Tua will cost a lot from a draft capital prospective, but it will be “cheap” from a contractual standpoint, which will appeal to the owners. Also, they have a ready starter in Tyrod if they determine that redshirting Tua is best for the long term. To add to all of this, Jeremiah is very tapped into the Chargers and has said a few times that they’ll want Tua and not so much Herbert, whereas everything we’re hearing out of Miami is that they love Herbert.
