yea, but its an average(ish) regional fighter brought in to be on a highlight reel. Suga's stock is taking a hit, all the respect to him but Moutinho isnt a ufc fughter, and hes at the very least hes had moments. PLus its very obvious he should be fighting 125.  UFC is hoping O'malley is a star, he really needs something special in the last 6 min.

Oh, I agree 1000 percent. Not great for Sean O’Malley`

Ref shouldn’t of stopped that… any people who bet O Malley by Decision (most popular non Main Event bet on the entire card, tons of $$$ on O Malley by decision) should be absolutely furious….

Anyways, glad O Malley won. Pure beast. Absolutely monster of a technician.

WTF Herb. Let him finish you ******* donkey. 30 seconds more and he's been moving forward all fight

Moutinho definitely has defensive issues, but that chin is insane. UFC should keep him on the roster. With that chin and heart he certainly can compete on undercards with the lower half of his weight division as they won't be able to punish him as much as O'Malley did. And his fights will be entertaining which is exactly what UFC wants in the bottom of their roster.

Crazy fight

One way beating but still insane

I agree with the stoppage tbh

No way you can stop it. take out that hes getting punched in the face, hes fine. Hes not wobbly, and he was moving forward and intelligent. UFC and clearly trying to hype him up, and hes very talented, but O'Malleys hype took a little hit tonight. ANd this post fight interview isnt great either.

There's an argument that it's bad stoppage, sure, but if you're not showing that you're capable of defending yourself, it's not that bad of stoppage either. He showed literally no striking defensive capabilities and took a similar beating to what Kattar took from Holloway. Coming forward and taking every punch in the nose and eye that comes at you is not showing the ability to defend yourself.

I don't like it either, but it's in the ref's rulebook.

Then the stoppage should have happened in round 1. Nothing was really different when the stoppage happened than at any point in the fight.

Like 120 more punches and 9 more minutes of evidence showing he has no idea how to stop being punched in the face

Bro that was a one way beating, not his fault that he was fighting a zombie

hes been ko'd and submitted before. More than that, O'malley was pushed back for good portions of the fight, gassed at times and took some damage. Again, all the respect to Moutinho, but hes bot a ufc caliber fighter. 28 year old regional fighters with mediocre records very, very rarely are ufc caliber fighter. Being able to take a punch doesnt make him one either.

This is the equivalent of Ben Simmons beating a D2 college player and it being a close game. But then saying "Bro, simmons went 5/5 shooting". Moutinho was brought in to be outclassed and he made it a fight at times.
