I dont see what the Pat's could possibly offer to the Bengals to make them even consider it.

Exactly my thought.

I mean, even if they offered three first rounder, Patriots firsts don't even hold the same value as other teams simply because so often those picks are at the bottom of the round.

I'm not trading away my franchise QB for three 28th overall picks.

While I could see Belichick being interested in something like this, it all comes down to this...

The Patriots simply do not have the ammunition to move up that high. On top of having to come up with adequate trade value for the pick itself, they'd have to go over that threshold to convince the Bengals to give up the opportunity to draft a franchise quarterback.

Bottom line... It's never going to happen.

Exactly. The only case I could think of is if someone is the 3-10 range offered them the same thing and they were absolutely sold on Tua/Fromm/Herbert as the next guy. Burrow isn't quite a Luck/Elway prospect but he's about as close as you can get to it right below and you don't pass up a prospect that good at QB for any kind of deal that someone else is realistically willing to make. Hopefully we don't get 3 months of having to pretend like there's a chance its going to happen.

I find it funny to really try and imagine Bill trying to convince the Bengals that they should not select Burrow and instead trade out, while also offering a kings ransom to try and move up and take the very same person. Like, is Burrow a franchise QB or not?

"Hey guys, you really don't want to take Burrow there. He has all these flaws. Your definitely better off trading out of that pick, speaking of which, I'm prepared to offer you three First round picks for your number one overall pick because we really like Burrow. Waddaya say?"
