That's not entirely true. He also kept us in games because of his abilities. I would say 50% OL and 50% him. He just could not bounce back like he had in the past and started pressing more. Even when protection was fine. The death knell began when Pouncey was lost for the season.

A different perspective to it all, then. I didn't think he looked bad vs. the Bears--but, that's just a single game. 

I guess I'll wait for the Chargers fans to argue this out. No way he's going to Chicago (IMO)...so it's just fun conjecture speak for us.

Id say even higher, top 6. If not higher than that. Real Charger fans know the couple of seasons Rivers has played bad in 15 years, is due to not trusting his oline.  Whatever team he signs with he will ball out like crazy and that team will make the playoffs.
