MacReady
Wade Philips. He goes to a place, gets them to be a number 1 defense in year one. Pretty sure he has a great track record of that.

Give me Someone from either the 9ers or the Ravens. Ravens: Chris Hewitt (DB Coach), has ties to Andy Reid as well. Internal: Mike Smith? Steve Belichick? If you bring in a new DC, you let him bring in his coaches. Uhhh because Z and Preston were one of the best edge Tandems in the league in their first year. {Family Ghost}
Aaron Nagler seems to think there is a least a decent chance that LaFleur lets Pettine go and hires his own guy. Interesting .. something to keep an eye on in the next few days. Edited January 21, 2020 by {Family Ghost}

TransientTexan
for what it's worth, Sunday earned the Packers defense their lowest PFF game grade in the 14 seasons PFF has been grading (starting in 2006). The grade is -26.1 (the base grade from their premium stats 1.0. The new premium stats with the 0-100 scale has it at 55.3). -26.1 is the lowest out of the total 244 games GB has played in that period. It is one of 6 games worse than -20. The only defender who graded well in the game was Keke, and that was on only a 10-snap sample.

Packers don’t have elite players on defense. They are slow slow slow. And the two players we do have that can be considered elite or very good came from FA. If what you say here is correct that is a pretty damning indictment towards TT's drafting the past few years. And then we wonder why our defenses struggle? pacman5252
If we did get a new DC, I’d like someone younger s as bd less known and un scouted . I’ve had enough of the Pettine and Capers who have decades of tape out there. It isn’t a coincidence that Shannahan who coached under Pettine knew exactly how Pettine would call a game 2x
