And while we need to fill out some depth spots, we had some other options. Ie, we could have added an extra year to Beasley's contract to move some money to next year's cap... still giving him what we gave him this year; we could have lowered RT's number a bit this year, pushing a couple million back, etc... It's just confusing with the message put out there that we're going all in for a SB this year... and yet we cut a still productive player who happens to be one of our captains, longest tenured, and fan/lockerroom favorite. I don't understand opening cap space without purpose, particularly when you were in the AFC championship game the year. I'm still in wait and see mode for how we utilize the cap space. When you pay big money and build around a RB, your super bowl window is short. We should be all in at the moment. If there is not follow up move, then I don't understand why we are making moves like a rebuilding team.

TitanLegend
Surely we didn't let Casey go for a 7th round pick without the guarantee that Clowney was coming here...right?

When you combine it with the fact that we're about to pay a running back a gigantic sum of money, it's probably a lock to go down as his worst off season, if we fail to nab Clowney. KingTitan
Before the vultures talk about Gurley and RB With the release or him, it shows that you don't pay a RB a ridiculous amount. And you don't pay a RB with a history of knee issues.

dtait93
Okay so far... The o-line’s gotten worse The d-line’s gotten worse The secondary’s gotten worse The pass rush’s gotten worse with Casey gone and Beasley as only a marginal upgrade over Correa So far, so good! Clearly he has plans, probably plans A, B, C, etc. We won’t know the details on the process for awhile but I highly doubt they just did it for the space. Plenty of details we aren’t going to be privacy to unfortunately. 5 minutes ago, -Hope- said: biggest blunder of the j-rob era? Sky isn’t falling yet. Anyhow wouldn’t know until the end of the 2020 season based on how JC performs. Dodd and Austin Johnson still count as his biggest whiffs to date. All things considered he’s got a pretty good batting avg.
