An exciting Super Bowl matchup that's not the Annual Tom Brady Invitational is actually here!

I think the Chiefs win because I think they'll be able to stop the SF offense more than SF will be able to stop Mahomes and co. That said, there are no upsets here. Very close either way. It's about time for Andy Reid to get one anyways.

KC 31 - SF 27

"Every team averages more 20 more points than they should", holy hyperbole, batman. Take out that niners / saints game, which was an atypically high scoring affair, the average points scored per game in the superdome this year were 45.15. Scoring averages in 2019 per team? 22.8, which means the average game would be about 45.6.

I'd argue that the Saints defense was more impressive than their offense this year, outside of a few select games. The Saints offense didn't really start clicking until late in the season, right around the SF game. If you think the Saints were giving up 40+ points a game... you only watched the SF game. Their defense was definitely legit, and it wasn't the sieve of the previous Saints squads.

This whole season he's only thrown 2 picks 3 times. He's great with the football. I doubt he throws 2 picks.

It's still possible.

Garoppolo has thown half as many picks as he has TDs.

Mahomes has only thrown 5 for the entire season.  Brady threw 8 and Rodgers threw only 4.

Compared to the best QBs in the league,  Garoppolo is very interception-prone.

Where Garoppolo gets credit is his ability to rebound in the game after he throws a pick.  Every interception he throws, he can score a TD right after if he wants.  But San Francisco is going to have to minimize how many chances they give KC's offense to score.

He's gonna pick off Jimmy G and the game will be over then and there.

good point, the TO battle could decide the game. JG had these last few week easy, but will most likely have to throw a bit more in the SB.

I'm aware he had 3 good games this year. Two were against a historically bad defense, and one was one the fast track in the Superdome where every team averages 20 more points than they should.

Why is dominating bad defenses a negative? That's one of the most clear measuring sticks of a good player or team, squashing inferior competition.

Also, playing in the Superdome doesn't help you to the degree like a Mario mushroom like you're insinuating :)

The Saints have had many quarterbacks in their franchise history. Superdome didn't make their footwork, ability to read defenses, or just arm talent better than what is was. Should we put an asterisk next to all of Brees' home games because he played a dome?

That guy said Mathieu could line up at DE and single-handedly win a team games. Let's keep this in perspective

Yes, Mathieu could play any position on defense besides NT and help your team win games. He's a very special player.

So "special" the Texans and Cardinals let him go. 5'9", 190 and you say he can play DE. No.......

Texans offered him the same contract we did, he just chose us over them. Cardinals gave him a massive payday and then he had injury problems, so they made a financial decision. Point still stands, Honey Badger is one of the best defensive players of the past decade. He's an amazing leader and player.
