You can pretty much screen shot every play where a QB doesn’t make the right play and where he should’ve gone with the ball.  Imagine the screen shots you could post on Mahomes for 3 quarters.

If anything is overrated it’s the Niners defense because they were seen as elite.  Jimmy was never considered elite.

Chiefs defense is mad underrated too. Was the best in the league the final 8 weeks, have a top DE in Frank Clark who played lights out in the postseason, Chris Jones was in a contract year you knew he was going to ball out, Mathieu was voted team MVP by his teammates and had a career year, the secondary was playing phenomenal in general. I love our 4-2-5 defense.

He certainly gets paid like it.

Chris Simms is a great analyst.  Look at 0:50

In review, was this not one extremely entertaining Super Bowl? That 4th quarter tho.

Pretty happy all the way round. Chiefs won with class, 49ers lost with grace. In a Super Bowl with a nail-biting close score as the clock is winding down in the 4th quarter, you gotta tip your hat to both teams and say thanks for finishing off the 2019 season with great excitement.

Eh, his contract is 8th in the league right now in AAV. And that’s before Brady, Dak, Rivers, Brees, etc., get deals. He’s 5th in cap hit, which is high, but when you consider who’s around him (Flacco/Foles $2-3M below, Cousins $5M above) then you can see how that is. And again, doesn’t take into account the guys getting deals this year.

Is he worth that? It's a no for me. Everything about this contract looks worst when he's the weakest link on the team. Unless you want to include the Kicker. People can point the blame on Shanahan all they want. They lost the Super Bowl because Jimmy was going to need to step up at some point and he folded. Shanahan put him in position to win. Anyone who has paid attention to this offense this year objectively knows he wasn't up to the challenge.

Then the only QBs worth ~$25M are Wilson, Rodgers, Mahomes? Brees and Brady, I guess, but they’re at the end of their ropes. The top paid guys are almost $10M more than Jimmy.

Next man up mentality, it’s going to keep happening with the rising cap.

You can definitely say it was more interesting than Super Bowl 53 and the Miami crowd was louder than the Atlanta crowd too. I thought Fox's broadcasting was also better than CBS and NBC coverage for 52 and 53.

Check your numbers again my friend.

He was the 15th paid QB last year and has the 8th contract with guys like Brees and Brady currently not having one. With the rookie wage scale rookie's are no longer in those upper echelons so normally guys like Mahomes, Watson and Jackson would also be in those top numbers. Jimmy got a big contract but also every QB signed after him has gotten one bigger and when looking at the guys around him i wouldn't say he is better or worse than most of them.
