the NFLPA would agree to disband itself if they thought it would be good for the players, but whatever.

The NFLPA has almost no power. All they can do is strike and that would just make fans side with the owners even more. When most players have a 3 year career or less losing one years paycheck is a hard sacrifice. The NFLPA could somehow collect a percentage of every players pay, bank it and use it to support the players (perhaps just those on the bottom rung) during the strike year to at least make a one year strike a possibility but the billionaire owners obviously can wait it out longer than the players can eventually the drafted players would play and members of the NFLPA would sneak over and the NFLPA would no longer exist and a new and even weaker one would take their place.

They are an easy target for everything the NFL implements for the owner apologists.

The bully took my school money, well you shouldn't have given it to him, it's your fault you powerless little kid.

You must have a highly favorable view of unions to believe this. The NFLPA lacks bargaining power in general, and it's losing it the more that time passes and the younger the league gets as a whole. But there's plenty of people drawing checks from the NFLPA who certainly aren't about to get off the gravy train willingly.

Nope not really, Just making fun of them for their ineptitude. Agreed they have no leverage.

Yeah, but it was just funny because it was such a long lasting debate and comparison. I mean, they had to do a "Carr v Bridgewater V2" thread.

The second thread made 100 pages. That might have been the biggest debate ever on FF besides the yearly Brady v Manning ones.

I hope Teddy can come back and play well. He's never been a bad QB but its been a long time since he's played and its a new system for him to learn.

Eagerly awaiting the third thread.

Teddy is a very good QB, and the Carr comparisons were completely fair. It will take him a season but I expect him to be a top 10-15 QB for most of his career. Efficient player, manages an O well. Think the Vikes need a bit more on O-Line + a real RB. Never been a fan of Tay as nice a guy as he is, terrible finisher of runs. Super upright, and legs go dead on contact. Marvelous open field runner but needs an upgrade.

Murray barely plays. Dalvin Cook looks like the real deal. Averaging over 5 yards per carry and 1 100 yard rushing game already. OL still needs improvement though. The receivers are strong, especially when Floyd returns.

Yeah, like the core the Vikings have. Tay is a really cool guy, smart and hard working. You've probably already seen his issue though even in limited action, very looks like Tarzan plays like Jane kind of dude. It is no issue for Vikings though if they find someone to do work on the ground. As long as that D remains that D, Teddy will come in and win games. He is underrated at winning games when team need him to, he is pigeonholed as a game manager but that's more what the team want him to do rather than all he can do.
