Senior Bowl

So I DVRd the 2-5pm time slot on NFLN as it said "TBA" on my guide, assuming that's when they'd air the practices. What a sweet surprise that NFLN decided to re-run the AFCCG every day this week from 2-5 instead of the Senior Bowl practices.

Would like to thank the moron responsible for that decision myself. Everyone talking about the prospects that stood out today, would be nice to, you know, see it for myself.

Some day 1 nuggets here, Harrison Bryant the TE from Florida Atlantic is showing up - class is wide open for someone to come through and make some money.

Been high on Bryant for a while. Reminds me a lot of Higbee

Be lucky you guys got Lock last year. I think Herbert is a worse Lock. He’s been overrated throughout the draft process.

Herbert's tools are going to put him in Rd1 without a doubt.  I just don't see it, his growth, read progression and play in 50-50 games (or even more tilted to Oregon) has been super disappointing.  I say this as a guy who was really intrigued after his sophomore year.   I just came way more disappointed with each big game since mid-October last season.   Even in his comeback wins this year, it was mostly all bubble screens or guys open by 3-5 yards.   The 2 biggest games of the year, the D & run game bailed him out in a huge way.   Opponents with regular to tight window pass D's killed him.

A big no thanks on Rd1 for him.   There's just so much more work skill-wise that's needed.  The tools are going to create an insane amount of hype, though.   It's likely a huge upset if he doesn't go by the first 15 picks at this rate.   Which, man, ugh.     As much as I doubted Lock's ability to translate his tools & rough skills to the NFL, ensuring that we didn't spend a 1st on Herbert was a far, far better outcome IMO (plus, spending 2.42, and our 3rd pick of the draft, is a LOT different in risk / reward profile, obv).
