beardown3231
I'd be more excited with Burrow, but I suppose this Burrows fella would be alright
BEAR FACE DOWN ARROW
Damn, just when I thought there was a QB that Bear's locals could pronounce. If there is a player whose entire name is just "ED" we have to draft him just so those of us that hate malapropisms and misspellings could relax for a couple seasons. We just need a player who's name ends with S so we don't have to keep adding them for no reason, like if Alshon's ancestors would've just went with Jeffries instead of Jeffery it wouldn't have confused millions during his tenure with the Bears. But that still doesn't solve the Trubinsky (or Trubiski, if you ask stupid a** Mike Wilbon) issue.

Interesting, dare I say ground-breaking, approach to drafting, however, as usual the Bears will continue to be unable to get the QB position right, as our best candidate-Steven Montez-isn't even close, and we'd end up Steven Montezes, which sounds even dumber than normal. EDIT: We're good! There's someone named Ben Hicks out of Arkansas! His school might not sound like it but it even ends in S! Checks all the boxes for me, bring on the Hicks (offense) era in Chicago! BEAR FACE DOWN ARROW
Here's his highlight reel, I left the video linked to his receiver (Sutton) turning around and ducking to make the catch, so he should fit right in here
BEAR FACE DOWN ARROW
Sneak peak at my offseason, 34 or so other QBs all get Coronavirus and Mitch puts up MVP numbers

They won't take a QB this year because they know they have 2021 in their back pocket. Don't be so sure of this. Why will anyone in the Bears organization feel confident in giving Pace & Nagy another crack at the can in 2021 if things get worse next season? So if Mitch proves to be a bust then you really think they are going to feel good about giving Pace the opportunity to draft a new 1st round QB? And I don't think it'll come down to contract/money owed to Pace or Nagy. Bears org has shown in the past that they are willing to eat GM/coach salaries to blow things up. I don't know what the deal is with this Montez guy anyway. I came away very unimpressed by his college resume. Why is this guy even in the conversation? Nagy maybe, but why do you think that for Pace? 1 winning season in 6 should have been enough to get him canned. 1 in 7 plus the Mitch pick shouldn’t get him any more passes. I’ve always thought and continue to think his future is tied to Mitch more than Nagy’s. Pace picked him. Nagy was brought in to coach him afterward. Barring Mitch taking the step in 2020 we hoped to see in 2019 I don’t think he or Pace is back in 2021. I also think he knows this, and because of that he’s going to do everything he can to load up the rest of the team to best set him for success even at the potential expense of future seasons. I don’t expect a high QB though. I’m expecting a FA and a mid-late round QB who will in all likelihood eventually be our #2. I also think they pick up Mitch’s 2021 option to give him the perceived comfort of 2020 not being a lame duck season too even though it wouldn’t (and shouldn’t) be a true commitment beyond this year. People are going to lose their **** about it too, but everything built around helping set him up to succeed. Same reason I expect a significant investment at TE and WR along with OL upgrades. If Mitch fails then at least Pace can argue that he did everything he could when lobbying to keep his job.

Anyway, I think if the team responds well to all the coaching changes, and Nagy gets them playing better (regardless of record), you might be right about Pace being the first to go. Madmike90
Bit late to the "Adam vs. Adam" party but looking at Trautman no one can tell me he isn't significantly more fluid than Shaheen...doesn't have the same type of strength or mass but like I said seems much more fluid and natural catching passes...even against lower level competition from the 3 bits of tape I watch he did some good things. They just handed him 150 million to do renovations and lead that project.
