#47.

Mekhi Becton

Scouting Report: Mekhi Becton

School: Louisville Position: Offensive Tackle Class: Junior Height: 6’7 Weight: 355

Scouting Report:

Highly recruited, massive tackle that moves very well for someone of his physical stature. Moves well laterally and impossible to get around due to his width and wingspan. Devastating blocker when he gets his hands on you. A natural athlete, he isn’t just a leaner that uses his size advantage to beat defenders, but has worked to develop a good bend and overall technique.  (Learns behind Veldheer for a year or two.)

#62.

Tyler Biadasz NFL

Scouting Report: Tyler Biadasz

School: Wisconsin Position: Center Class: Junior Height: 6-3 Weight: 325

Scouting Report:

Extremely powerful, smash-mouth type center that doesn’t need the extra help from other offensive linemen to block top tier defensive linemen. Excels with a combination of power and balance. Works best in close quarters where his lack of arm length could get him into problems, but shouldn’t hinder him at center in most blocking schemes. Able to road grade in the run game, and has the footwork to hold up to recover, even when caught off balance in pass protection.  (Patrick starts at C, but Biadasz pushes him hard.  Very possible that he starts at C, with Patrick being the IOL backup.)

#78.

Gabriel Davis NFL

Scouting Report: Gabriel Davis

School: UCF Position: Wide Receiver Class: Junior Height: 6’3″ Weight: 212

Scouting Report:

Excellent hands and long arms- one of the best “catchers of the ball” in college football. Tall, with a slight build. Listed weight is probably much higher than reality. Can fly in the open field, and deep vertical speed is elite. Takes the top off of defenses, and is the type of deep speed threat that opens up the field for other playmakers. Will thrive in a system that prizes go routes.  (Don't be surprised if Packers add a veteran WR to the group.)

#94.

Darryl Williams 2020 NFL Mock Draft

Scouting Report: Darryl Williams

School: Mississippi State Position: Offensive Guard/Center Class: Senior Height: 6’2 Weight: 305

Scouting Report:

Exceptional interior offensive lineman that works best within smaller spaces. Locks on to defenders and has excellent strength to secure the block. Lower body strength is also very good, and can drive defenders back in the run game to make lanes. A clear interior blocker that won’t be considered as a tackle, but when given fixed zones to work with, is an elite run and pass blocker.  (Could be starter at RG, OL could be Bak, Jenkins, Biadasz, Williams and either Turner or Veldheer.)

#133.

Jared Pinckney NFL

Scouting Report: Jared Pinkney

School: Vanderbilt Position: Tight End Class: Senior Height: 6-5 Weight: 255

Scouting Report:

Big bodied tight end that is a true combination of pass catcher and blocker. Excels at exploding out of cuts extremely well for a player his size and has an excellent knack for getting open. Runs crisp, well executed routes. Catches the ball away from his body well, and can post up defenders when coming back to the ball.

#192.

Zack Moss NFL

Scouting Report: Zack Moss

School: Utah Position: Running Back Class: Senior Height: 5’10” Weight: 222

Scouting Report:

Powerful runner between the tackles. Seems to prefer to work in close quarters and enjoys contact. Not a back that is always looking for daylight, is one that yearns for and works for the hard, short yards. Extremely difficult to bring down by the first tackler. Excellent footwork in a phone booth, and is more comfortable in crowds than in spaces. Good catcher of the football with natural hands. Willing and able to pass pro. Not a big play threat with a 5th gear, but is reliable to get valuable short yards.

#209.

Adam Trautman NFL

Scouting Report: Adam Trautman

School: Dayton Position: Tight End Class: Senior Height: 6’5″ Weight: 250

Scouting Report:

Converted quarterback but has quickly picked up the nuances of the game at tight end. Gets off of the line of scrimmage quickly, and runs crisp, fluid routes. Has shown equal proficiency on the outside and in the slot, will be able to be moved all around at the next level. Top level pass catching ability with soft hands. Tape shows not only an excellent post-up tight end that can stop his route, face the quarterback and block out defenders, but also catches the ball very well in stride.

#224.

Shaq Smith NFL

Scouting Report: Shaq Smith

School: Maryland Position: Inside Linebacker Class: Graduate Transfer Height: 6’2″ Weight: 250

Scouting Report:

An excellent leader one the best teams in college football the last few years, Smith came out of high school as a 5 star prospect, but never found a full time starting position for Clemson. After graduating early, he transferred to Maryland, and should instantly be a starter on a far less talented defensive core. A very solidly built inside linebacker, he is best suited to working on containing the gaps and rushing the passer in certain situations. Well coached, smart, and patient with his assignments, Smith is an extremely reliable presence in the middle of the field, allowing players around him to roam the field and work sideline to sideline. As Maryland switches to a 3-4, Smith should shine in a role where he can be utilize his best attributes – moving forward and dominating on the interior.

#242.

Kadarius Toney NFL

Scouting Report: Kadarius Toney

School: Florida Position: Wide Receiver Class: Junior Height: 5’11” Weight: 194

Scouting Report:

Incredibly gifted playmaker that is extremely dangerous with the ball in his hands. A perplexing prospect, Toney has elite talent as a receiver, and can break a big play at any time. However, there are a long list of negatives from ball security, off the field issues and injuries that will have scouts worried. Has excellent speed and elusiveness. Very good hands and is a natural at making the catch away from his body, turning up field and making a play. A natural at shifting his weight to avoid tackles. Needs to have an uneventful year off the field, and show more discipline on, and can make his way into a very desirable position in the draft. Is deservedly compared to Percy Harvin, both in the positive and in the negative.  (High risk, high reward player at slot and or ST.)

#243.

Chauncy Haney NFL

Scouting Report: Chauncy Haney

School: North Greenville Position: Defensive End Class: Junior Height: 6’5″ Weight: 250

Scouting Report:

Small school defensive prospect with a long frame, but slight in build. Gifted pass rusher that has strength and speed off of the edge. Gets leverage quickly, and has been able to beat tackles with speed and power. At the next level would need to continue to add to his core strength to deal with stronger offensive linemen and to hold up against the run. Has shown remarkable pass rush skills at the college level, and teams that prize constant pressure off of the edge could be interested in the middle rounds. A very high ceiling, but still developmental prospect.

My logic for this mock was to fix the Defense with veterans.  The draft was used to get younger, stronger and faster on the OL and at TE.  Sure, I thought about adding a veteran player like Danny Amendola at WR, still enough cap space to do so.  URFA's, couldn't care about any of them except for Lazard and Lancaster.

Appreciate this idea. Hammer the front 7 in FA. Veldheer becomes the expensive swing OL. Becton starts day 1 if he can. Biadasz starts day 1 center. But no offensive skills in FA and none until the 3rd round is a big issue.

Not that Daniel Jeremiah is the end all be all, but he just mocked Becton 4th overall, dunno if you had seen that. Last year he did a similar thing with Josh Jacobs going 5th, but it's worth noting.

I'm not generally a fan of dropping back from a high first draft slot....but no matter. Thanks for the info. Gives me some names to check out.

Regarding one of them: Gabriel Davis - it says his "listed weight is probably much higher than reality" - technically speaking, his weight cant be greater than reality (Just kidding around) :)
