The use of narcotics is against their rules.

Well he wasn't caught using anything just possessing it. He would have got a DUI if he was high and he also would have been going 37 not 77. I'd lean towards no punishment but a timely drug test which may lead to a suspension but like has been stated we won't know if he tested positive if it is just one of his first few positive tests because those are just warnings and then a 2 game fine.

? With all due respect, this has nothing to do with football other than him being a football player.

Focus on football.  If a player is arrested, the discussion should be about a possible suspension and how the team will handle it.  Members should not discuss crime and punishment, their own legal problems, politics or anything else off-topic.

Non-issue. Football related or not, this isn't even worth discussing imo.

It is still against league policy, so he will go through the steps for marijuana use/possession. Wherever he is in the drug program, he will proceed from there (no idea how many offenses he has). More of the issue is the open vodka container in his car. That can land you in jail (not sure of all states) for DUI related charges.
