That game wasn't relevant in the second half. We scored 28 points or more in an entire game 4 times this year. Scored 28 points in a half 0 times. The offense just isn't good enough to score that.

Rodgers had 14 drives against the 49ers in the first half this year. He produced 0 points. He fumbled three times, lost two, and added an interception. He was hot streaming trash. Just like he's hot streaming trash against most good defenses.

Not relevant ?   Good grief,  could imagine you as a coach if you quit like that.

It was a 2 score game in a Championship playoff with a Super-bowl at stake. We had all the momentum after scoring two touchdowns. The defence had to make a stop and we are right back in it. But they failed, they failed like they did for the entire game. They couldn't do anything. All game. Nothing. At least Rodgers and the offence gave us some hope. But from the run defence ? Nothing. They contributed nothing.

Nobody has claimed Rodgers played well. Nobody. He played poorly. But the entire run defence was horrific. If a team can just run through you every drive without even trying to pass it then you have no chance whatsoever. The offence was capable of scoring points and you can if you get extremely lucky just about get away with that on occasion - read winning ugly. But you will never ever win a game if teams can run through you every drive - every single part of the run defence would take the top positions if you want to single people out.

If you want people to take you seriously, you need to stop being so blinkered. Behavioural psychologists would have a field day with you. You've got into your head everything is Rodgers fault so you just see what you want to see.

That isn't the same thing at all

Your right, its not the same at all.

When the Pats offence finally starting working, their defence co-operated as well. That's the difference, Packers offence finally started working but the defence stayed broke. Had the defence finally made a stop who knows. But that's too much to ask.

With hindsight, we probably should have onside kicked every kick-off.

The Patriot talk was already annoying enough with the constant comparisons and now they're going to be the excuse to say being down 27-0 at the half is still a manageable situation. Nevermind the fact that they were 28-9 at the half, that's just minor details.

We scored the TD that put us within two scores with EIGHT minutes left. San Francisco scored 3 points after that. The Packers scored ZERO.

If you are trying to assign blame in this game to one of the two units, you are doing it wrong. Aaron sucked miserably and second half scores were mostly SF conserving the lead,. and the defense was absolutely putrid and Pettine should have been fired. You don't have to choose.
