candyman93
This will be either revolutionizing or we will have another thread like this in 2 years. I think he’s walking into a MUCH better playoff-caliber roster than he did in 2016. Props to Jimmy for staying out of the way on this one.

AkronsWitness
I wonder what this does for the chances of resigning Schobert/Higgins since those 2 were under the Berry regime last time he was here.

Reginaldm9
I don't know how anyone can see this as a negative. Literally the bridge that connects the FO and coaching staff. Also, he's been here before and is familiar with ownership, many of the players, and all of the expectations that come with this ****ty job.

When he’s canned in 18 months he’ll be able to look himself straight in the mirror and say “I told you so. If it works....of course I will be happy. I have my doubts, but I would with anyone we hired, given our track record. And if it doesn't work out.....letsgo will be like.....
MWil23
They FINALLY went full analytics instead of splitting the difference. Either go all in or stay out...and that's been the frustration since before Sashi with guys like Farmer who were awful at their jobs too. Trading back only to pass on a guy that analytics tells you to take (JFF vs. Bridgewater) is just one example.

LETSGOBROWNIES
To piggyback on @Reginaldm9‘s point about Berry being here, he knows DePo, he knows a lot of the scouting staff, the roster, the city, etc. he’s hitting the ground at a dead sprint, there’s no “getting to know you” phase needed.
