You are picking like the same exact teams. The goal is to be one of those 5 people out of 1,000. Not aim for a safe 85%. Instead of arguing his predictions being too safe, why dont you make predictions of your own? Last time I checked, predictions were supposed to be based on what you believe WILL happen. You seem like you just want predictions that pick a few random teams that dont have much of a chance so you can say "Told ya so!" if you happen to be right. There is nothing wrong with his predictions. Are they safe? Yes, but he has backed up his reasoning with sound logic. You claimed that people have picked the NFL playoff teams a ridiculous amount of times. Well, the chances of picking those teams are much better if you "play it safe" rather than pick teams that have lesser chances. In the end, many accurate predictions come down to luck. You cant really predict what players are going to get injured and impact the entire landscape of the league. And as of right now, we havent even seen how the offseason will shake out. Bottom line, his predictions are safe, but make sense. Will they happen the way he predicted? Probably not, but thats mainly because its February and so much can change between now and November and December when the playoff race is being decided. Several straight off the streets. Also by worse you do mean making the Playoffs but barely losing to the Saints in NO on a Dropped Alshon catch, right? Calamity_Cometh
I can't even make one because parity is ridiculous right now. I wouldn't bet money on it but I guess I will say Ravens vs. Rams Super Bowl. Both are infuriated with their finishes.

Elky
These are of course barring injury. AFC East New England - Under the assumption Brady returns. Buffalo - The race for second place will be very tight between them and Miami. Giving the edge to Buffalo due to better defense and slightly better quarterback. Miami New York - Not buying their 6-2 2019 finish. It was a cake stretch and Adam Gase is not a very good coach.West Kansas City Las Vegas Denver Los Angeles - The team is rebuilding.North Pittsburgh - They went 8-8 with bums like Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges. Roethlisberger could decline, but they're Super Bowl contenders with him regardless. Baltimore - Lamar Jackson and the offense comes back down to Earth. Cincinnati - This is assuming Joe Burrow is a hit. He has good pieces around him. Cleveland - Forever in the cellar.South Houston - Someone has to win this division, right? Indianapolis - This team will be stuck in a neutral despite having a talented roster until they upgrade Jacoby Brissett. Tennessee - Fun Cinderella story last season, but is it really sustainable for the future? Jacksonville - Jacksonville is one of the worst teams in the league right now. I have them winning the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. NFC East Dallas - Mike McCarthy has his critics, but perhaps a year off is what he needed. I think the coaching change is the breath of fresh air Dallas badly needed. Philadelphia Washington - Ron Rivera was a solid hire and Dwayne Haskins showed some promise down the stretch after a slow start to his career. New York - Despite having some pieces in place and are likely going to add Chase Young, the New York Giants are rebuilding and have a rookie head coach.West San Francisco Seattle Los Angeles ArizonaNorth Green Bay Minnesota Chicago Detroit - Detroit is a dumpster fire.South New Orleans Tampa Bay Atlanta Carolina

They went from 13-3 Super Bowl champs missing a host of good players to 9-7 and out in the divisional round missing a host of good players. That's significantly worse. Not as mad as McVay has been since the end of this season. In the Super Bowl we were playing the greatest defensive mind in NFL history and he got McVay. It happens. Had the Chiefs won the overtime toss and we played them last year, I'm quite sure we could have lost by something like a score of 31-20. But losing to average teams like the Bucs, Steelers, and Cowboys and blowing the first Seahawk game and second Niner game had him angry enough to turn over the entire coaching staff. Considering there's only been 2 B2B Repeat SB Champions in the past 3 Decades, odds were a worse season was coming but thanks for stating the obvious. Significantly worse would be missing the playoffs altogether ala the Rams rather then a dropped catch by Alshon away from the NFCCG. Big difference. Okay, going from 13 to 9 wins is "quite a bit worse" - and yes, there may be few repeat Super Bowl champs, but being 4 games worse after winning the Super Bowl is pretty rare air too. And ironically, while the Eagles of that season and the Rams this year were both 9-7, the Rams were +30 point differential while the Eagles were +19, and the Rams were a better team almost across the board looking at the advanced stats on Pro Football Reference - we just missed the playoffs this year because the NFC was better than it was last year. And while in both cases the teams went from 13 wins to 9, the Eagles won the Super Bowl and the Rams did not - it's more common for teams that lose the Super Bowl to be worse. I'm not even taking a shot at the Eagles here - yes, they still had a good season following their Super Bowl win - but the year they won it all was magical for that team, and the following year they were much worse and were fortunate to sneak into the playoffs. That Defense however was decimated in 2018 mostly in the secondary as well as the RB position. Hence the worse record and overall worse stats IMO. https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/a-list-of-injuries-and-the-impact-on-2018-season Edited February 19, 2020 by Nabbs4u
Elky
If it weren't for Ryan Shazier's injury, Pittsburgh's defense alone can take them to a Super Bowl.
