1.25. Raekwon Davis, DT

1.30. D.K. Metcalf, WR

2.9 Mack Wilson, LB

3.1 Joe Jackson, DE

3.27 Marquise Brown, WR

4.9 Albert Okwuegbunam, TE

That's just ridiculous. All of these guys are going to be 1st round picks. Okwuegbunam is the only one that I think might be there in the 2nd, but he's going in the top 40. Davis is a top 15 guy, Metcalf is WR #1 and won't make it out of the first 15 picks, Mack Wilson is a late 1st, Joe Jackson is a top 20 guy, and Marquise Brown has zero chance of falling to the 3rd. He might be the 1st WR taken after Metcalf.

I would, however, eviscerate my drawers with both poo and man-seed if this happened.

If this happens, I'll eviscerate everyone's drawers.

So...who are all first round locks for you? I'm wondering if this draft is better than people are giving a credit for. It seems to me that there are way more than 32 players that people are sure will be first round picks. does that just mean that there are a ton of first-round quality players? Somebody has got to fall in this draft. To me, there are at least two or three other tight ends who could go first round, if not more, and we are talking tight end here. There are a million defensive lineman that people are calling first-rounders. Despite us thinking it's a crummy tackle draft, just about every year there seemed to be a bunch of them that go in the first round. There are a zillion wide receivers this year who another year might all be considered to go in the first or second rounds.

@Mind Character, you want to chime in? Do you have a list of first-round quality players put together yet?

Unofficial non-ordered list of 1st round players:

1. Ed Oliver--Freaky penetrator who disrupts everything inside.
2. Nick Bosa--Best technical pass rusher in the draft.
3. Quinnen Williams--Physically has it all. Did not face constant double teams in college though.
4. Clellin Ferrell--Technique monster at DE. Slightly above average athlete, excellent intangibles.
5. Christian Wilkins--Powerful cog in the middle. High energy. NFL body and frame.
6. Derrick Brown--Very talented athlete. Can take on double teams and rush the passer.
7. Jachai Polite--Freakish speed off the edge. Jacked up frame, but short arms.
8. Rashan Gary--Needs to change his body to a 3-Tech IMO. He's a big bull with freaky speed, but hasn't put it all together as a "tweener."
9. Joe Jackson--Excellent size, length, and athleticism. Inconsistent against the run, but a stud pass rusher in the making.
10. Jeffery Simmons--Twitchy DT that can create havoc.
11. Raekwon Davis--Monsterous dude that moves effortlessly. Bland junior year, but supreme talent.
12. Dexter Lawrence--Plays like a fast DE, but is a BIG DT. He's got rare size/speed. Can rush the passer at 320+.
13. Josh Allen--Speed demon off the edge. Can play 34 OLB, 43 OLB, or RDE.
14. Devin White--As tough as they come as an ILB. Big, physical and fast. Needs to work on his diagnosing skills.
15. Mack Wilson--Struggles to get off blocks, but ELITE in coverage. Doesn't miss tackles. Consistent.
16. Greedy Williams--Big time CB that is excellent in zone, good in man. Has every tool, but technique can improve in man.
17. DeAndre Baker--Not nearly as physically gifted as Greedy, but Baker is better. He sticks to guys like glue and is extremely tough. Ball skills.
18. Trevon Diggs--Ht/Wt/Spd freak that has had injury issues. Very good tape, but not a whole lot of it.
19. Deionte Thompson--Excellent FS prospect. Good athlete, but not a playmaker. Great open field tackler. Could maybe even play SS.
20. Jaquan Johnson--Better FS/SS prospect. Moves with ease. Elite at baiting QB's into bad throws. Great tackler. Fights the ball out. Excellent intangibles.
21. Justin Herbert--Has a lot of prototype traits. Big, fast, good arm. Inconsistent accuracy, but his weapons aren't very good.
22. Dwayne Haskins--Excellent size and arm. Very good accuracy to all levels. Footwork and improvisation need to improve and they will with more reps.
23. Daniel Jones--Toughest QB I've seen in years. Great athlete, great size, good arm. Brilliant mind. Played with scrubs and produced. Accuracy is meh.
24. DK Metcalf--One of the bigger freaks in the nation. Has great size and speed. High points and fights for the ball. Josh Gordon clone. Injury issues.
25. N'Keal Harry--Spectacular catch maker. Great RAC threat. Ridiculous catch radius and hands. Not going to rip the top off your defense though.
26. Marquise Brown--Elite speed and quickness. Pretty good hands and a surprising catch radius. Elite RAC skills. Very small and isn't a natural hands catcher.
27. Jonah Williams--Solid LT prospect. Can do a little bit of everything, but isn't a real specialist in any area. Just a good football player.
28. Trey Adams--Excellent physical traits. Injury history and inconsistent. But the dude is one of the more talented LT prospects in some time physically.
29. Greg Little--Good athlete with jarring power in pass pro and in the run game. Very inconsistent and sloppy feet, but a ton to work with.
30. Tyler Biadasz--Beastly C prospect that excels at blowing people off the ball. Not many flaws to his game at all.
31. AJ Brown--Excellent hands and routes. Solid size, excellent RAC ability. Not a freak in terms of size or speed. Just very solid all-around.
32. Albert Okwuegbunam--Big fast strong TE that can run down the seam and dominate in the red zone. Very raw as a blocker, but has the ability to in-line block.
33. TJ Hockenson--Nasty blocker with seam-stretching speed. Has great  body control for a TE. He looks pretty skinny, but still buries people in the run game.
34. Noah Fant*--Solid TE prospect all-around. Good blocker, good athleticism, good hands. Struggles at nothing, but is an average athlete.
35. Drew Locke*--Big armed QB prospect that comes from a QB-friendly scheme. Struggles with consistent accuracy and consistency in general. Very toolsy.
36. Montez Sweat*--Spectacular athlete with great size. Very raw and underdeveloped as a pass rusher, but an excellent run stopping DE with tools to improve.
37. Zach Allen*--Stout DE that wins with multiple pass rush moves. Nuanced player that plays hard every snap. Disruptive in the run and pass game. Meh athlete.
38. Brian Burns*--Has unreal speed coming off the edge. Plays nasty and physical. Very thin and will get eaten alive by OT's if he gets engaged.
39. Isaiah Buggs*--Excellent strength and anchor. Tough to get any movement on him. Doesn't disengage and make many plays in run or pass game though.
40. Gerald Willis*--Sneaky athlete as a 3-Tech. Can generate excellent interior pass rush. Disruptive in the run game, but inconsistent motor and technique.

Those are the dudes that will be taken in round 1 & early round 2 IMO. The ones with asterisks are more likely R2 guys to me.

1. Jerry Tillery

Mid 2nd rounder. Good player, but doesn't excite me with his tools. He's big, but not explosive and not strong enough to be a NT.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

2. Amani Oruwariye

Mid-late 2nd rounder. Speed deficiencies are going to drop him.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

3. Byron Murphy

I haven't seen enough of Byron Murphy to determine his draft position yet to be honest. I like the very little I've seen of him, but I'd be lying if I slotted him anywhere without more tape.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

4. Michael Jackson

Mid 3rd rounder. Not close to a 1st or 2nd rounder. He's got a lot of good physical traits, but isn't very good in press man coverage. Technique needs work.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

5. Lukas Denis

Excellent ball skills and quickness/long speed, but he's not very physical and can get caught staring at the QB a little too much. Early 3rd rounder..

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

6. Khaleke Hudson

No. 6th-UDFA. He's more of an OLB prospect than he is a S prospect and I wouldn't take him ahead of some of the more prototypical LB's that can be had later in the draft.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

7. Devin Bush

Love him, but his injury scares me. Probably would have had him going in the early 2nd before the injury. Great in coverage, good against the run, great leader. 4th rounder w/ the injury.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

8. David Montgomery

He's tough, has good vision, and has excellent hands. But he's not fast at all. I would say he's a late 3rd-early 4th round pick.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

9. Damien Harris

Good size, great vision, adequate speed, good hands. Mid-late 2nd round pick because he lacks any elite trait.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

10. Ross Pierschbacher

He's a mid-late 2nd rounder. Tough and physical, but does allow some quick interior pressure due to clunky feet. Pretty good prospect though...not much to complain about with him.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

11. David Edwards

I love Edwards and he was going to be on my list for possible 1st rounders. A big strong dude that can actually move. Average RT pass blocker, excellent RT run blocker. Early 2nd.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

12. Trey Adams

He was on my 1st rounder list.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

13. Yodney Cajuste

He's older for a draft prospect and is not good in the run game. He's also smallish. He has great tape and good athleticism, but he's short, older, and not very physical. 3rd-4th rounder.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

14. Dalton Risner

Mid 2nd rounder. There's a lot ot like with Risner. He's tough, mirrors speed rushers well, and buries guys on run blocks. Struggles to reach block consistently. LT/RT versatility.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

15. Michael Deiter

Mid 2nd rounder. Great power in his punch and again, a Wisconsin OL that can move. My top OG in the draft, but most have Cody Ford at OG #1.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

16. Elgton Jenkins

He's very solid in every area. I don't think he's a great athlete nor do I think he's a mean road grader. But he's a rock solid C prospect. Mid 2nd round.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

17. Irv Smith Jr.

Not that high on Irv Smith. He's a tremendous athlete, but he's not a good blocker nor is he a natural pass catcher. I think he's a 3rd-4th rounder.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

18. Caleb Wilson

Caleb Wilson is a 4th rounder to me. Great quickness for a TE, but he doesn't stretch the field vertically very well or attack the football like a big TE needs to. Non-blocker.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

19. Dwayne Haskins

In my 1st rounders list.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

20. Jalen Jelks

Not impressed. 5th round pick. He's long and lanky, but doesn't explode off the ball and isn't a good run defender. He's got talent, but hasn't been consistent.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

21. Preston Williams

No idea who this is tbh. Googled him and found out he's a WR from Colorado State. I've done 0 work on him.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

22. Kendall Sheffield

Great skills, but he doesn't have any technique. He's got decent size, excellent speed and quicks, but terrible technique and at times, terrible effort. Mid 3rd-early 4th.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

23. Dre'Mont Jones

I think he goes in the 2nd or 3rd round. Not as physically gifted as the other DT's in this class. Not an effective run defender and doesn't use his hands like he should.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

24. Marvel Tell III

Talented, but pretty bad in coverage. He's inconsistent playing the deep zones. Good hitter, but misses routine tackles. His ceiling to me is the 4th round, but I have him in the 5th-7th.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

20. Taylor Rapp

I have him going in the late 2nd. He's an excellent leader and can smack dudes. Great angles in the run game, but ineffective as a deep safety and small to be a box safety.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

21. Beau Benschawel

Similar to all of the Wisconsin interior OL, except he's not as smooth of a mover. He's a RG that struggles in space. Mauls guys on down blocks. Early-mid 3rd round pick.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

22. Oshane Ximines

I think he goes in the middle of the 2nd round. He's got a good frame and is explosive off the snap. He's not constantly physical and let some inferior competition neutralize him.

1 hour ago, NudeTayne said:

23. Kelvin Harmon

Love his size, speed, and athleticism. Runs a real route tree. He is a fast dude, but I haven't seen him make many spectacular plays. More of a chain mover right now. Mid 2nd rounder.

Off-Season:

Part I. Free Agency

1.) WR Chris Conley: Coming out of college, he was one of the most gifted athletes at WR to set foot at the combine. His film and upside was only slightly less impressive. His abilities were suppressed by Alex Smith's inability to deliver targets down the field. The year Smith started to do so, Conley had a serious knee injury. He has a lot of AJ Green to his game in that he's can be a jump ball specialist or stretch the field. If he can return to form and health, he has WR1 ability but would make for a great WR2/WR1/Slot WR interchangeable piece based on personnel groupings. Conley is recovering from a knee injury and is under utilized in the chiefs offense as Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, and Kareem Hunt get the targets in the passing game. Dorsey's familiarity with him make this a great match in terms of our need and how his game fits in with the roster.

2.) DE Brandon Graham

3.) CB Steven Nelson

4.) QB Trevor Siemian

5.) TE Maxx Williams

----

Part II. The Draft

1.) Amani Orunwariye CB Penn State

2.) (Likely Trade Back into Bottom of the 1st) DK Metcalf WR Ole Miss // AJ Brown WR Ole Miss

3.) Christian Wilkins, DT Clemson // Gerald Willis III, DT Miami (FL) -- Both of these guys are likely to fall to the top of the 3rd for a wide-variety of reasons. Wilkins to most is the most unbelievable b/c people are seeing his name in the 1st and 2nd round of mocks; however, scouts have him more realistically in the mid-second to early 3rd range.

3.) T.J. Hockenson TE Iowa // Albert Okwuegbunana TE Missouri

4.) Emmanuel Hall WR Missouri

5.) Shaquille Quarterman LB, Miami (FL)

5.) Joe Bachie Jr., LB Mich. State

5.) Renell Wren, DT ASU

6.) Best RB Available

7.) BPA

3:13 - TE Albert Okwuegbunam, Missouri
3:29 - WR Marquise Brown, Oklahoma

Did one, but like always these things seem not so realistic with their rankings. Would be a great draft if we were able to make these first 7 picks

Yeah, that'd be sweet (though where is your pass rusher!!!? 😬). And I notice that almost none of the mock simulators sites have anywhere near an accurate player ranking system until fairly close to the draft.

I wish we could get pass rusher, but if they don't exist (and they don't really in my mind) then there are better options at other positions to acquire potential impact players.

Outside of Bosa, Ferrell, and maybe Brian Burns I see the 43 DEs as JAGs.

I gave it a try @NudeTayne. I didn't feel like creating an account to be able to do trades so I went with the basic version.

My latest mock from [walkthemock.com](http://www.walkthemock.com) for CLE via Default ranking

1:13 | Quinnen Williams | DL | Alabama
-Far and away the best player available at 13 and it just so happened to fill a position of extreme need. You take the card and sprint to the podium.

2:13 | David Edwards | OT | Wisconsin
-No play makers available at this pick. I didn't see a much have pass catcher or edge rusher so I added depth an competition to the OT room because Harrison is no sure thing to improve and Greg Robinson has been terrible for several weeks.

3:13 | Joe Jackson | EDGE | Miami (FL)
-Pass rusher to add to the pile and should push for reps immediately on 3rd downs over Ogbah.

3:29 | Marquise Brown | WR | Oklahoma
-Speedy WR with nifty footwork. Can create separation and be a consistently open target for Mayfield. Adds an element of YAC to our WR core that we currently do not have.

4:13 | Albert Okwuegbunam | TE | Missouri
-Would prefer a better blocker at TE but at this point in the draft he was too good to pass up. He's a bigger body than Njoku and a great pass catcher but we still lack a quality blocking TE.

5:6 | Gerald Willis III | DL | Miami (FL)
-Too good to pass up despite having Ogunjobi and 1st round pick Williams. The deeper the DL the better we are anyway.

5:13 | Daniel Jones | QB | Duke
-Entirely too good to pass up at this point. I think he will be a Top 64 pick especially in a draft as weak at QB as this one, but if he is here in the 5th round he would be a perfect selection to back up Baker Mayfield incase of the unthinkable and a valuable trade asset toward the end of his rookie deal.

5:29 | Shaquille Quarterman | LB | Miami (FL)
-We need linebacker depth even if we can find a starter in free agency. Quarterman is a find run defender but I don't see him ever being good enough in coverage to be a 3 down player which is why he falls this far. He gives us depth and insurance and hopefully he can play special teams.

6:13 | Jamal Peters | CB | Mississippi St.
-1st round body type and movement skills. Haven't seen him consistently put it all together on the field but he stands out like not many CBs in this draft just watching how he can move. Obviously this late in the draft it was a no brainer pick. We need depth and its no loss if he doesn't pan out the way his talent suggest he should.

7:2 | Dontavius Russell | DL | Auburn
-Complete over kill on the DTs? Probably but I couldn't pass up a 3rd-4th round talent falling all the way to the 7th and the other players available were just garbage. If these 3 DTs live up to their ability along with Joe Jackson and the already proven Garrett and Ogunjobi we are set up for a great DL the next 4 years.

7:22 | Dakota Allen | LB | Texas Tech
-Another quality depth/special teams linebacker. Not many players available at this point that scream draft me. Allen doesn't scream it either but I have seen him play and he I think he is at the very least draftable and fills a position of need on the roster.
