Yes. I do. The same year we asked him to do less and manage the game.

Whats less? He had an ANY/A of 7.86, and a YPA of 8... So he wasnt throwing check downs.

He had almost 4000 yards, so its not like we were not using him alot.

He led 5 game winning drives, he faced high pressure situations.

He had 29 TDs; so he accounted for a lot of our points.

He attempted 38 passes playoffs - so clearly they put the game on his back.

NFL Network listed him as a top 10 player in the entire NFL.

So define "manage the game" in some way thats is measurable and not just your opinion.

Lol he had a career low attempts that year. You really think we relied on him in 2016 as much as 2019?

Do not force throws, take only what the defense gives you, only make these reads, oh and we're gonna rush it 500 times and limit you to 480 times.

The Cowboys rushing attempts outweighed the passing attempts. In this day in age that is a game managed offense by the QB. Also 3600 yards ranks in the bottom half of the league.

How did you come to this conclusion? Im saying that the idea he was being babied is silly. He was also throwing for his highest ANY/A.. If you are getting more yards per a pass you dont have to throw as much.

Got it. So Romo was babied at the end of his career?

Not it is absolutely not. The idea that a 4th round rookie who was 3rd string to open camp, and forced into the starting lineup THE WEEK BEFORE THE REGULAR SEASON to replace a QB that he doesn’t share a skill set with, was not being babied, is ludicrous.

He absolutely was playing with a dumbed down playbook and a patchwork week to week game plan that always centered around the run...

What you call babying, I call Garrett trying to reproduce the 92 Cowboys.

Lmao that was Callahan not Garrett who brought the run game back. Or do you not remember pass, pass, fake run/pass?

Yeah. And I also remember Garrett running Murray into the ground, picking up Zeke, and then running him into the ground.

Blame Linehan if you want.

Garrett was stripped of his play calling duties in 2013 man. The year after is when we ran Murray into the ground. He had his wings clipped and for good reason cause he kept flying us into the side of mountains every season.

You know he still had influence even if he wasnt the caller.
